Apartment Hunt with Me in Portland, Oregon! I recently moved to Portland from Everett, WA and wanted to take you along my apartment shopping journey! I spent two days going to about 15 apartments, and showed the best of the best in this video. I hope this video helps shed some light on what’s a realistic price point and what you can get for around $1,100 here in portland! All of the apartments i looked at were in SE Portland, and i share the neighborhoods of each one in the video as well as the rent.

Thank you for posting the pricing and the general area of the apartment. I've been apartment hunting and a lot of these places don't provide videos of the studio apartment they have for rent.

hihi, I'm living in California now but it is so expensive to live here. so I decide to move to Portland in March. I searched many apartments (studio or 1b) but they are all around or over 1,400. where did you search the apartments? they look so nice and in the budget at the same time!! Thank you so much for sharing, it helps a lot!

This video is a couple years old. Portland rent is just exploding. I hope you can find something! CA is just untenable now, per what I've seen recently, with pricing. Something has got to give.

I'm jealous of these prices. Anything like this in Jan 2023 is >$1300 and I was searching these exact neighborhoods too. Also glad to see people on the internet not just crapping on the visibly bad parts of the city.

Been in Portland 22 years. You are close to a lot of great stuff. I'm also in SE, and would have to say you've got to try Hoda's, Salt and Straw, Hapa Ramen, and E-San Thai. I haven't been doing a ton of wandering during the pandemic, but I get takeout from these places often.

I am going to start looking at apartments this month! I currently live downtown, I have a studio but I’m sick of it! Buttt holy crap 1bedroom is soooo expensive!!

hello! i have recently found myself binge watching portland apartment hunting bc i plan to move in a year and a half and want to get an idea of what to look for. i loved apartment 8! would there be anyway you can tell me the name of the building! totally understandable if you can’t for safety purposes but i’d love to check it out when i go apartment hunting myself!

I’ll have to guess and say you moved from this unit once you received your renewal? Why do I say that? Well what many new renters don’t factor in is that amortized special you received yes , does lower your rent but when it comes to renewing your lease the renew rate goes back to the original price plus the $50 to $150+ increase rate. I always tell my future renters yes the amortized rate is amazing but if you plan is to stay longer than a year be aware the renewal rate. By the way the wall paint …. It is a low voc paint to stay with in the green parameters of the building commitment to the Green PNW Initiative.

Talia Lea honestly just going on evening walks is so nice. On super hot days I’ve been going to sellwood waterfront park to play in the river! Also thrifting of course 👏🏻

I might take a place with no pet rent just on principle alone lol. My pet rent is only $10/month but I think it’s so ridiculous.

Hi! My apartment is just under 500 sq ft and I feel like it’s plenty of room for me and my kitty :) I have a full size bed, 3 seater fold out couch, desk area, kitchen area, and still have extra space!! I absolutely love it here. I hope you find the best studio for you too! Are you moving to Portland?

Portland was always of interest to me! I didn’t want to live anywhere in WA because it was ridiculously expensive and not very exciting in my opinion 😂

How did you find 10 apartments under $1200 that are pet friendly and not gross?? I’m genuinely asking. I’m looking to move and am NOT finding apartment like this in this price range that allow pets. Please help.

Hey! I’d recommend apartments.com. A ton of apartments are also doing deals like 8 weeks free. Also, if your pet is ESA certified they can’t deny you :) hope that helps!

Gurl you got LUCKY! Great apt great price welcome. Helsers on Alberta for brunch, Belagios (also Ranch - the restaurant lol) for pizza, rollin fresh for sushi burritos (post workout amazingness), hmm one more... Oh um The Hilt for a "dive bar".

Oh my gosh the cost of living in Portland is half what it is in LA. Those apartments would easily be 2000 a month in LA
