Thanks for the comment! We are paying 6400rmb(Chinese yuan) per month. This is a very good price for this appartement, we are blessed with a lovely landlord who gave us a good deal. Take note that we are not living in the center of Shanghai (called Downtown), the apartments there are more expensive than where we live. Note: try to find an apartment close to a subway station, then it doesn’t really matter where you live 😉

In Shanghai the price of apartments really depends on the location you want 😁 closer to the city center (downtown) is more expensive than the out skirts.

We are not sure if this will answer your question, but we have a lease with the landlord directly and she pays yearly levies for the apartment which covers maintenance if we need it. If we want it cleaned we should arrange and pay for it ourselves.

Thank you for the comment, we know Shanghai has great options. We were looking at apartments specifically close to our new school, maybe that’s why our options were limited 🙂
