@@jomartin1004 cooler temperatures causes the starch molecules in the bread to recrystallise at a much greater rate. Bread does not last longer in the fridge.

One thing you need to know when living alone is on some occasions you will have to be forceful. If you don't demand that they sort out the sewage smell you will have it there for months, so be firm for them to sort it immediately. I am so happy for you.

For your smell in the bathroom Use Bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar It happened to me and that cleared the drains Put it down the shower or sink
