What's up guys! 🥰 Welcome to our small apartment located in Causeway Bay. What do you guys think? 🤔 Next video coming soon....i hope! 😊✌🏽 Stalk me on Instagram: / abbyliciouss1
It's very tiny. I lived in Hong Kong from 2007 to 2012 and we were clearly very fortunate as we had a three bedroom apartment with a large lounge and dining area, two bathrooms and a good sized kitchen. It was just under 1,000 sq ft, which is large by Hong Kong standards.
Thank you for a look at how you live in a densely populated city. I couldn't live there. I live on 10 acres of land in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina USA. I believe we can all adapt to any situation but it also depends in what conditions one is raised. I prefer the space and solitude. However, for that I give up access to the shopping, food, and other amenities available in cities.
That’s very true! Not everyone can live in an apartment like this. Obviously I would prefer bigger apartment as well. The rent in HK is just crazy high, so for a poor student like myself this is all I can afford lol
It's not bad! It seems cozy enough. You could maximize the space with some shelves, especially for your hair and makeup station. I could definitely live there!
If you don't have long mirror get four smaller mirrors just like the one in your apartment and stick them on the wall under one mirror you have, it looks like you would have a lot of difficulty carrying a long mirror into your apartment. All the best🏄🏾
You're lucky to have that in Hong Kong, I saw a video on RU-vid about the coffin apartments that people are living in Hong Kong a lot smaller than yours. Consider yourself lucky.
For less expensive than this you have a little palace in Vietnam omg, what an idea to go there knowing that even locals have to live in coffins because there's no room anymore.
This is actually not bad at all! I live in NYC, my small studio is super small but I am paying $1350 USD for it. Your bedroom is pretty huge, very spacious and I like it!
Hi Abby I'm a new subscriber from the UK and this is the first video of yours that I've watched and I really enjoyed it. Are you originally from Finland? What's your internship? If this is your first apartment you start small and your home space, whatever or wherever that may be, will grow alongside you. Everyone has to start somewhere ⁰
Hi, thank you for the comment! Yes, I’m originally from Finland and actually back home already. My internship was organizing events and also some other business related things. Luckily, my apartment in Finland is so much bigger and cheaper haha
The majority of apt in HK are not coffin apts. That's like saying everyone is homeless in USA. Coffin apts exist but are a representative of the underpriviledged in society and are not the norm. Really horrible places to live
That’s totally fine. Depends alot about your living situation (location, size) and about what you do during your free time. If you find a studio in an ok area and like to eat local food, that amount should definitely be sufficient. I was living with about 20k HKD a month and sometimes is sucked but i made it work.
I'm brand new and this is my first view. What brought you to Hong Kong? Do you spend the majority of your waking hours out and about? My main concern would be safety. Medical emergency, or fire. You do seem to have a very good attitude. Young and adaptable.
Thank you for the nice comment! I'm doing my internship here. Most days I'm at the office and then out with my friends so luckily I don't even spend that much time in the apartment. You are correct with the safety, most apartments here don't invest in safety that much (if at all).
If stay in here for a short term still consider acceptable but of course depends on our budget too, may I know how much the monthly rental for this studio apartment?
I agree, for a short term the apartment is okay (especially because of the amazing location). The rent was 10,000 hkd/month which is like around 1300-1400 usd.
This place , so call apartments for very low income to stay there. Same as NY, this size apartment in NY Manhattan cost you $3,000.00 US dollars a month, unless you live in Brooklyn, or NY south side, it’s cheap, but the chance getting stalkers or chance of being rape likelihood is about anytime in the evening if you walk alone, but for sure this won’t happen in Hong Kong.
@@abbylicious1994 I live in Kenya and am puzzled as to how a similar apartment costs 100usd in my country and yet it's so expensive in more developed countries.. you should come to Kenya😃
Firstly, I never said the apartment was gross lol. It was actually pretty nice for 5 months and the location was excellent. Secondly, I would have loved to live in a bigger apartment but simply just could not pay more rent.
