WOW. I'm so humbled by all the love and support everyone is showin' for the video! I love that people can relate to this shit, and feel it. Much love to my father, my family and close friends who I consider brothers for appearing in this. I appreciate it more than you know. I read everyone's comments... I got so much love for ya'll. As long as ya'll continue to support my music... I'll keep delivering quality, classic shit to you. Much love - Ap
Came here after your ig post today. Always loved the track but never saw the video. Please keep doing what you do. That post was more of a pick me up for me right now than i can explain.. ❤
keep on killin it Ap. all the way from Southern Alberta always gonna have mad love for ya The other day i told a random person that i just had my first rap performance, first thing he said was spit a verse, goes to show u gotta b able to spit to be the best or show ur the best & Ap , ur lyrics are unforgettably the most intellectually constructed lyrics to ever be put on record
Ten years later and Apathy still slaps. Timeless classic. Thanks for your contribution to the under ground music scene. The kind of music I’ll show my kids when they’re older .
Exactly Use to be about real life struggles or a caper to make you laugh on a bad day now days its depressing watching these youngsters faking it and making it Sad it's a true dilemma
never been much different tho, atleast not here in The Netherlands. in 90's and erly 2000 we had some hiphop on TV/radio but basicly only at certain hours (mostly after 23:00hr or even midnight). The hip-pop you heard back then was just as crap as the hip-pop you hear now...well maybe it was slightly better back then. Point is: in my opinion, real hiphop never really been that much on TV/Radio.
You made me cry and think about the world again with this song. Keep rapping and making music. I know you will get there. You have that in you. I wish the world was a better place where there was no fancy stuff, no materialism and everyone could afford everything. Everyone was treated equally and nobody was homeless, dying of hunger and left alone. I wish ...................................................lots of respect for you, a fan from PAKISTAN
Best Ap song to date. So many of us could relate to this at one point in our life. Remember just scraping by when pbnj was my breakfast lunch n dinner. But if it wasn’t for living like that I would of never got that fire lit under me to step up my game now I’m doing very well and giving back to the community any chance I get.
and that's why he failed. If you can't make me dance on some level, you're a shit rapper. All the great rappers made people dance in some way: Gang Starr, Nas, Jeru, Biggie, etc
tochiRTA I'm sure you danced on "Above The Clouds", "NY State Of Mind", "Ten Crack Commandments" etc...different times anyway...Apathy is a dope rapper, and he never failed, skills, dope features, dope producer
Raoul Graail I've heard Ten Crack at clubs so many times. Above the Clouds and NY State of Mind are just great tracks period (and I'm pretty sure I've heard Above the Clouds at a lounge full of girls). All great hip hop can make you dance or sway. There's something funky about them.
Theres isnt anything more that I respect from fellow hiphop artist than to share youre struggles. Much love and stay strong brother. We all living check by check.
Apathy will Always be my favorite emcee alive. Like slot of people i have to be able to relate to my music to throughly enjoy it , and personally, I've always found it hard to relate i people that have no clue what struggle is . When he's not rippin up mics with crazy metaphors and similes Ap's talking about REAL life shit , not to mention we had similar upbringings in the same era . Any of my friends who claim they hate hiphop I put em on to this song of his first , people need to know that real hiphop exists ! Keep up your hard work apathydgz, and try not to get too jaded by this industry .
The east coast voice is the standard for verbal clarity.especially Apathy.along with his perception of his life, converted into expressions thru his choice of flow and words,he is balanced lyrically for the long haul..keep up the dope lyrics Apathy..from one emcee,to another.
Brilliant lyrics. So true and a bit touching... Just love it, the song is full with reality and truth. Often I know so good how it feels... I also had the poor dad...
"i never made it cause i never tried to make you dance"..........more true words have never been spoken about the current hip hop game.................
Some of the realest words to have been rapped in a long while. You're a living legend Ap. Keep making music for us real heads that know and respect the art form.
The underground god drops another gem, Ap.. u a legend, a hip hop purist and I salute you for that. Make that moneys fam.. Pre ordering as I type... For real tho people, don't sleep on Ap, especially if u just heard about him.. I have a funny feeling that real hip hop is starting to make big noise now in the mainstream world.. I hope Apathy stays around to be part of it... Legend!!!
this is hip hop music that means something, it is exactly what it was meant to be. This genre started from struggle and I am glad some artists have stuck to the roots.
Without a doubt one of the realest tracks I've EVER heard! Right there with ya too dude, livin check to check. Without a doubt gonna be buying this album when it comes out! Lovin this joint!
