Born 1993, when I was around 5/6 me and my family had to move to Germany, Osnabruck because my Dad was stationed there for being in the British Army. We stayed there until 2001. I can honestly say from what memories are still there in my head, are the best years of my life. If I could just relive those days, just for a few hours, I would be so happy. I spend hours crying happy/sad tears on Google Earth Pro with the time machine of the maps. Seeing my old Primary School before it was demolished. Seeing the Army barracks my dad was at before that too was sadly demolished. Seeing my old childhood home which I haven't seen since we left 23 years ago. It's even more saddening with how Germany's privacy laws are. Google Street view is practically none existent. So the buildings and the streets I fondly remember are mainly just these pixelated resemblances of buildings that I still vividly remember from my childhood but I can't see how are now or was a few years ago. I only have what I remember, and the odd remnants of videos here on RU-vid which is extremely lacking and rare to find Thankfully some time last year, Germany finally lifted those privacy laws for Google Maps Street view and i finally got to see my home again for the first time since we all left way back in 2001. I will be honest. I've never cried so much in such a long time. It was harrowingly different everywhere i looked around Osnabruck but I could also see things that haven't changed at all. The walks we went on, the Warner Brothers Movie Theme Park down south near Dorsten. Pony rides in the woods and picking the oldest one there who was called Boris. I picked him all the time because he liked to eat the grass a lot which made the ride last longer so I could spend more time with him. The little & big lake walk just behind the Nettebad. The traditional Christmas Markets in the town centre. Playing video games when my Dad finally came home on my Playstation 1, we would try and beat the games in one day but never could because I didn't have a memory card. Getting excited whenever Pokemon was on the TV. Friends round mine to share the big swimming pool I had. Watching Halloween Town before going out trick or treating. Finding our first ever pet, a kitten abandoned behind a grit bin while we were on a bike ride and taking her home, we named her Millie. So many memories. All lost to time. With only old VHS tapes & photographs to try and relive those memories at least just a tiny bit. Oh what Id do just to go back to those days. Nostalgia is such a beautiful but cruel mistress. I hate to love it and love to hate it. I Miss you Osnabruck. I miss you childhood. But. I have a baby daughter now. And I honestly can not wait to be the best father I can possibly be. And to make everlasting memories with her that she can look back on and smile just as much as I do looking back at the ones I made with my Mum & Dad. Oh Germany. Oh Osnabruck. Oh childhood. You were the best of days. I'll revisit you one day. With the whole family hopefully.

Been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder with tension type headaches 4 years ago. Its been o er 4 years my routine is headaches varying from 2 to 5😢 if it goes higher I need anxiolics and antidepressants other wise I completly collapse.. I live in constant pain, literally. I smile and laugh and try to take every opportunity life throws at me. My work is stressh, stopped talking with GF for 3 months. Yesterday the headaches were worse and the anxiety and depression kicked in... the thing is, throughout it all, there was always a faint voice inside of me that whispers " you conquered mountains to get to where you are, yes you are hurting, but the painfree days will come back ... in the end... they always do." Stay strong king and queens. My ex gf once said "on this planet, there's what is worth living for"

Im wandering alone, with only my music and my thoughts to keep me occupied. Today I realised what happiness really is, and that even in trying times, even if I only have myself to get through it, I'm still alive; and I still have my dreams and desires. So, I think I can make it another day. What shall I do to make this day interesting? Should I clean out my wardrobe and start afresh? Rearrange my books. Look through my old diaries and let go of all the heartache and pain. Go pick some flowers outside and pop them in a vase. We all need to keep moving, and living. I never want to go back to the past. I want to be present and live in the now. This music really helps my neurodivergent soul. I was feeling inspired and motivated. I hope this message reaches you all well.

I struggle to listen to this. It was the first thing that played after my break up having built a life with her for nearly 9 years, and I found myself having been told either I leave the house or she does, sat in a park on a warm summer’s day watching the sunset as people enjoyed life around me. I was sat on that bench for a long time, and this song was stuck on repeat.

Broke up with my girlfriend last year. I was doing well, but things started going downhill for me. I can't tell the difference between love and drugs, they both bring me to this peaceful happy state, the drugs are easier to get. I don't necessarily wanna find love right now, I just wanna be at peace in my mind, but with my clinical depression, it's only just a wave. Every wave of depression gets bigger and bigger. I have not nor will I ever give up, but the depression is taking me down a dark path. I will make it out of this, and you will too. To whoever may be reading this, I love you :)
It's your journey my brother and only you can walk down it's road, but don't for one second think that you're alone. I've been grappling with the idea of reaching out to my ex. She messaged me last year and i definately wasnt in the space to respond, heck I still don't know if I am. I get the thing about drugs and not wanting to find love and rather peace and I think the latter is very admirable. I would implore you to try not to use the drugs as a means of coping or supplementing the sensations that you want from love, it's all easier said than done tho I suppose but I truly wish you all the best. I believe in you and I know that you will forge your own path, a brighter one. I'm proud of you for not giving up hope. Things will get better, time stops it's march for no man. I love you homie

Update: she dumped me and lost feelings for me and she gave up on us , I’m truly deviated now and feel hopeless, I gave my all and everything for her and out all my time and energy into her when I shouldn’t have because I didn’t think she’d leave but here we are and now I’m heart broken like crazy to the point where I think about leaving this life every single day , she was my everything and more and I loved her so much and unconditionally, I did so much for her and was so patient with her and she just dropped me like nothing like none of what we did or said to each other even mattered, I don’t know how or if I ever will be able to recover from this , I lost all motivation to do the things I used to do and it’s like just super hard and ridiculous to even go on when I feel like this pain so much , I wish I never dated that girl I wish I could take it back and prevent myself from feeling like this just because it’s unbearable, she truly was the loml and I loved her with all my heart and soul and now I’m so broken and messed up I don’t want to do anything anymore , my days are dark and miserable and pointless now , this sucks so much
