Spruce are a mid-succession species as demonstrated by the graph. They don't start appearing until 20 years, and slowly increase until reaching their peak at around 120 years. After that, they start slowly declining, showing that they are not a climax species.

@@nandanramesh3939 middle succession, since the major spike in the graph, happened in the middle of it. A little hint, that type of tree in the picture happen in middle succession to build up the soil for the trees like (maple or hemlock) in late succession
