@@2FadeMusic he had better results in this season, actually this whole year Hero had better results than Leon. Hero has made top 8 every Maesuma Top tournament, which is considered a major and made top 8 in Maesuma top 10, wich is considered a supermajor. The only japanese majors that he coudnt top 8 are the Kagaribis, except for kagaribi 4. in side of Leon, he coudnt top 8 a single major except for Apex 2022.

he mostly uses Leon for himself so that's what most people use.

@@YangMK6THEMARIOKARTWIIGOD also in MU knowledge, sometimes theoretically the tools that character A can use to counter against character B may work rly well in the MU. But in practice, things can go very differently by other tools character B or other factors like stage picks or character weight (Hikaru DK vs Bloom Bayo is a good example)

There’s like the trinity of Tink players in Japan repping the character in Top 50 (Sigma, Manzoku, Lvl. 1). Doc prolly isn’t even considered bottom or low tier in Japanese meta

it’s slow and you have to space very perfectly to beat gnw nair. the risk reward just isn’t worth it

I think Leon mostly wants to stay on the ground and avoid getting thrown in nair, upair chains. He did throw a couple out in disadvantage and it’s possible he could have benefitted from doing a few more.

I saw this comment before the set started and I gave 5 or more reasons why the MU is unwinnable for both characters Unwinnable for Bowser because: -Bowser’s disadvantage is already bad, but GnW up air covers so much space and beats dair -GnW chef at ledge is always hard to get by, and Bowser’s big body doesn’t help. Bowser also has no way to recover high -GnW can edgeguard Bowser with bair/dair -Bowser’s OOS is great but spaced bair/nair is unpunishable on shield -Actually I can only think of 4 right now idk Unwinnable for GnW because: -GnW’s shield is usually very strong because of up b, but Bowser has a fast command grab that kills that can be used in the air, which makes one of GnW’s best tools less reliable -Likewise, Bowser has a good regular grab and low% combos so GnW can’t be as comfortable turtling -Bowser is twice as heavy as GnW, and with Bowser’s kill power GnW will die way earlier on average -GnW doesn’t get much reward for bucketting flame breath, similar to Fox’s lasers -Bowser’s OOS game is very strong so you can’t jump in with nair as recklessly as other MUs

this comment hurts my brain. you basically want something you prefer except side special is the more correct term when commentating. If someone watching smash doesnt play smash and assumed theyre not using a gamecube controller side-b would be the wrong term so like the above said side special is more correct in the general sense
