The fact viper just casually jumps out of a jet about 100 feet in the air without a chute and lands on a big piece of metal just shows why he's an Apex Predator

Viper is almost the only Apex Predator worthy of any kind of respect or admiration since he's a professional, not a deranged war criminal. Giving him a daughter and a wife, and showing the effect his death had on them, really fleshes him out from the faceless badass he is in Titanfall 2 when Jack and BT encounter him. Immediately makes Valkyrie a highly relatable Legend too, which I appreciate. The fact that when he grabs the falling Titan he ignores her pleas, immediately punches her out of the cockpit, and then looks until he sees her chute open before trying to save himself is such a beautiful detail. Oh, and the animation is beautiful, sometimes I rewatch this for the feels and sometimes just for the visuals. Great writing too, for a simple story the three central characters are very well fleshed out.

Valkyrie: You killed my father! Cooper: Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down

Valk: "My father died because of you!" Cooper: "Yea Blisk, I can't believe you would do such a thing!"

"Pilot. That word used to mean something." Accurate. We went from neural links and augmentations to just highly trained grunts.

“If vengeance is all you look for go and take it. But if you pull that trigger, your story ends.” that line is 👌

Jack cooper vibe checked a father so hard his daughter felt it

"He died because of you!" Cooper: Yes, He did that. I saw it with my own eyes.

The fact that Viper jumped out of a high-speed craft with just his combat gear and no parachute then somehow landing on a flying hunk of metal just shows how he earned the title of Apex Predator. Then hours later the dude tore apart an entire fleet with no hits. Then he got vibe checked by Saucy Jack Cooper

*Hears **4:26* Apex Players: Wow, that’s a cool sound effect! Titanfall 2 players: *starts sweating*

Pilots really were something else. I've played Apex for a long time before I finally tried Titanfall 2's multiplayer. Legend does not come close to a pilot

I like how the way he tells her he won’t let her become a pilot is more “It’s too dangerous and I don’t want you to die.” than “You’ll never be able to fly a titan.”

Never would I have thought that I would be playing as the daughter of someone I brutally murdered while saving my robot friend

You know, giving Viper a daughter won't stop me from killing him again, Respawn.

I love that the Militia fleet are using faction accurate ships like Crows and the Redeye. One of them had the callsign Misfit-4: Misfit was the name for the Militia ship (callsign Misfit-2) that got shot down in the beginning of Demeter in Titanfall 1, AKA the ship that was meant to deploy you. Really cool that they kept the naming schemes

I actually found it kind of funny when she shoots the missiles and the other pilot just casually sends two missiles in retaliation and knocks her out of the air easily, it just shows that even though she could pilot the robot she wasn't close to the skill level of an actual pilot

Me: *sees destroyed planet* Also me: "aye me and my old titan did that!"

Jack Cooper：So you just processed your Titan to that idiot jet pack？

Every time I see the helmet, it slightly makes me want to shed a tear. Not because I love viper, but because we miss the pilots 😔

I like the attention to detail when viper was crash landing he shot all northstar missiles out so when he landed he wasn’t running the risk of blowing up

I still remember that moment that used to give me chills 'nowhere to run, nowhere to hide'. It's nice to see another part of him, even though he's way cooler in a titan lol Edit: she really didn't need to dismantle the best titan in the game tho lol

Valkyrie to blisk: "he died because of you!" Cooper just standing there: *deadly silence*

As a Titanfall vet, I think I speak for all of us when Blisk said "Pilot, that word used to mean something"

I love the little note of Viper emptying his Northstar's missile salvoes after Kairi ejects. Using the launcher recoil to right the Titan on approach with the ground, reducing the weight and thus impact of the crash, and ensuring he wouldn't die from the resulting explosion of his payload. THAT'S what you do when your life is on the line. It really speaks to his professionalism, and I am honored that he chose my Titan out of several Militia chassis to rip the arm off of. Kinda makes me wish that Valkyrie had a gameplay interaction like that, between VTOL Jets and Missile Swarm. Maybe she could gain a slightly faster fall speed after using Missile Swarm in the air.

Despite how Difficult Viper was. Under that helmet, he was just a loving father who was just doing his job.

More TITANFALL is always welcome!!

Watching these stories gives me a better outlook and appreciation for Apex Legends

Viper was one of the toughest and coolest boss fights in titanfall 2. So glad they kept the story.

You not only revealed the face of one of the coolest characters, one of the reasons is because we don’t see his face, you down grad his legendary Titan to a jet pack for a brat. This does make me want a animated titanfall show.

I'm glad they're tying in the lore of Titanfall within Apex Legends, keeping that world alive to some extent. I hope they give more lore in the next season.
