This is the beginning of a legend in the apex community. Watching his progress over the next few years will be interesting. Much Leamonhead and Team Summertime!
This video single handedly made me believe that Apex has a similarity to Smash Melee in the fact that, the game at its base level is simple and anyone can play…but the potential to lengthen the skill gap over the years feels limitless. Like I can’t fathom how good this dude is and it’s people like this who will push the pace of competitive. Apex is special man
@@joshvaughn7348 I know! It is a round about way of saying it but, I think if you implement insane movement like this into comp, shit could get wild. The skill ceiling feels like it's only getting higher in comparison to other fps/esports titles.
Super gliding is a synchronized button or key input of jump an crouch at the peak of the climb animation an can be done on anything that is climbable or can be mantled what you guys are confusing super glides for is edge boosting which is actually easier to do than a super glide don’t worry I got you guys🤙🏻
The technique specifically at 6:00 is called a “Ras strafe” which is just a strafe with a jump quickly followed by a tapstrafe back in the opposite direction and can be chained together back to back to pull off a stormen style beyblade that will send your enemies back to the lobby
4:31 Idk about that, Quake champion pros were pretty insane with movement. Also, back in the day it was about aim 95% of the time, and comms. That's what determined who was best, who can stay alive the longest and drop the most amount of kills. Pure skill, no bs. BUT I will say, movement shooters have brought a new edge to the competition and changed the gaming world in ways that we all probably never imagined possible
If you didn’t already know, the movement tech he does where he mantles over something then flies is called supergliding. Basically at the apex of the mantle, you input crouch and jump at the same time and it does an instant slide jump off of the surface that you just mantled. While in the air, you can tap strafe any direction, even backwards, which is what leamonhead does all the time.
God. Watching that guy playing is like watching attack on titan in 1st person. Dude is literally floating around, changing directions mid-air and whatnot.
4:33 I used to think the same thing, but I think it's more that people were always this good, but didn't have the kind of platforms to show off like they do today. Though there are definitely more people pushing the skill cap than before.
To be fair games weren’t as mechanically in depth in comparison to Apex or Titanfall 2, which I think is the best shooter I’ve ever played mechanics wise. Games back then were mostly about who was better at aiming with a few movement things if any
Well, its because of the platform that we have people like mokey, treerere, and thevilnside to teach us these techs. if this game came out early 2k, you only learn about these techs by word of mouth.
this comment is old but quake players absolutely got to this level, and fighting game players have always been doing insane shit arena FPS and fighting games are peak mechanical skill and have been for decades
you jump and crouch at the same time at the last frame of the mantle and you super glide! you can also tap strafe outta it and go any direction you want its a really fun movement when you get it down
if you guys are interested in learning some of the movement techs he's doing, Apex physics is based off of source physics! You'll see different techs such as superglides, fatigue wall jumps, etc explained in detail if you find people like "District on RU-vid", who coach players trying to learn these same techs
Leamonhead and Faide are huge PLUGS of Apex its like They created the game the way they move and the finger works the mind to keyboard connection is insane man . One day imma make it
he tap strafe off jump pad, super glide over ledge + super glide ,wall bounce ,wall run ,bunny hop ,im amaze , such a pro movement player ,master lemon
The way lemon head changes directions so fluidly is because hes mastered lurch strafe techniques such as RAS strafe and PITO strafe. If you wanna see a tru master of RAS strafe watch moon.
he changes directions without losing momentum with octane stim and trap strafe lurches, there are some "basic" ones like a ras strafe and more advanced ones like he does
The PK Spin animation is triggered when the legend has only 1 Hand on the weapon. For example Octane when he holds the Stim with one hand or Pathfinder when he grapples with the left hand.
4:32 That's true because back then there were no scripts or chronus or aimbots. Its also cap because there were just people that were good at games and could throw a knife across the map to kill you in a spawn point and 360 quick scope you out of a window.
There are one handed reloads and two handed reloads. This will also happen if you are cocking the shotgun on a zip while mantling/climbing or using someone like rev tac at the same time
HollowFPS worldclass aim series, i know yall rewacted to hollow before but his worldclass aim series is a whole different level, clean aim wise, editing wise, music wise
this is next level, its like we're playing the pubg version of apex vs his titanfall version. 4:30 only people that compare to this level of cracked are cod4 promod sweats, and even then they have nothing on this guy
mid air direction change is a tap strafe the burst of speed is indeed a slide out of any mantle "super glide" takes a bit of practice to get the timing just right to get the glide you'll just do a normal slide if the timings off
