I love how at the end Cady looks at Regina in awe while Janis looks at Regina in disgust

The change for the animals is so fricking good

I just noticed. In the movie, Gretchen says that Regina wouldn’t let her wear hoop earrings because they were her thing. If you notice in the beginning Janis is wearing hoop earrings. Think about that

"Get in loser we're going shopping" I love that part

I love how Cady is literally copying Regina's style, she is learning and adapting to her new environment but yet Regina isn't aware that she is legit making prey into the predator herself. This song itself is like Cady's awakening into becoming the mean girl.

There should have been an "Apex predator Reprise" or when Cady realises she's the new queen bee. It would have really been perfect.

The arena imagery? _Fetch af._

During "All their eyes say..." the eyes are goat eyes, underscoring the fact that they are victims, they are prey. Also, Regina's pupils are slits, which is normal for big cats like lions and tigers, and makes her seem much more sinister. Neat detail

This is so rare.. *WE MUST TREASURE THIS*

Okay so... this is just a random thought. Foxes are commonly known to have red fur and female foxes are called vixens. They're also known to be tricksters. Cady is a ginger and the play and movie both compare the people to animals based on behavior and appearance. The lines "but she doesn't know yet" and "how can you outsmart..." reminded me of the phrase "outfox the fox" which means to outsmart an already clever person which is something Cady did. She infiltrated the plastics and tricked them and took Regina's power in the process. I made it way too long... my only point is that Cady is a vixen. It's probably just coincidence but I just wanted to point it out.

I love how Cady says "She doesn't know yet" referring to Regina, then Janis says it referring to Cady. Just... A+ writing, people.

Only Regina George can call someone a loser and make them smile.

In my eyes, especially in this song and animatic, Cady was taken under Regina’s wing. In the animatic, when Cady was staring at those girls, Regina looked at those girls with a mean look, which made them leave. I believe she seen potential in Cady, and did that for her. While a lot of people see her as a villian, I think she’s misunderstood. She was misunderstood so much, she started acting like people seen her. Mean, but beautiful. So when she seen Cady, she seen a loop to turn it around, but it backfired as Cady seen this as protection.

I haven't seen many people comment about this but I love that janis's eyes are white and Cady's are pink, which I see as symbolism that cady has become obsessed with and entralled by regina while janis hadn't

Did you notice how they totally dehumanize Regina in this song? Talking about her as if she was nothing but a mindless predator whose very nature is to hurt others. It's something we do far too often with the people we fear or envy. We forget they are people too with their own motives and interests which have often nothing to do with us.

Okay, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't think Regina is really a villain. She asked Cady to sit with the Plastics because she saw potential for Cady to be popular and fit in. I'm not saying she's always a good person. She really isn't. But she still basically took Cady in and I think she saw herself as something of an older sister to Cady. I don't know, though. She does a lot of reprehensible stuff.

Regina was really just going about her business in this song, and everyone’s like “Jesus she looked at me I’m dead.”

I think you could compare Janis to a guard dog. She could tell trouble when she smelled it, she warned her "owner" (friend) to protect her, and she is aware of things most people at the school aren't (like a dogs ability to smell and hear better than humans.). She also stays out of the way, unless it involves her and her friends. Just like a guard dog would be ok with family, but not a burglar. She didn't force Caddy to stop, she just urged her to. If you tell a guard dog to lay off, they will. And when she turns on Caddy, it was because she was helping the enemy in her eyes, like If a burglar and the victim both hurt the dog. She may seem non threataning at first, but if you get on her bad side- you get *hurt* .

small detail i appreciate: Regina is always looking forward sharply (like a predator) while Cady often has more side-wise eyes (like prey)

1:31 that is an amazing detail, foreshadowing how Gretchen can believe she's been replaced, Cady is sitting on the RIGHT HAND side of Regina, as of replacing her former right hand

i love this animatic SO much and all the details but wanted to say that i also love how Janis is trying to trick Cady into thinking that Regina is so horrible by simplifying it into the animal terms that she'll understand but Cady takes her own spin on it so that she can feel like it's good to be close with the "Alpha" of the school whereas Janis is still angry bc she's trying to manipulate Cady into thinking she'll turn her back any second which isn't incorrect 👀 sorry that took forever to explain
