Probably the only Titanfall video I will ever do unless Titanfall 3 comes out. Just one to add to the archives, have a good day creatures more Apex content coming soon. Intro Music: • Short Emotional Traile...
There's no lie that for console he was doing pretty good, and his aim was obviously very good. But tbh he was also in a very tamed lobby. Idk if PC is different, but if he was in one of the usual games I have to put up with, he'd of stayed dead the entire time for staying grounded.
@@Ayto27For some reason Pilot vs Pilot has the weakest players of all the modes on Xbox. The people in Attrition are generally cracked. I believe there’s also some pretty basic SBMM system in place, so he may have gotten thrown into some lower skill lobbies if enough players were on.
@TheHeadincharge I see. I'm not sure how good the skill based matchmaking system is though cos I only started playing 2 weeks ago and am ass, and vs Gen 50 to Gen 100 players every single match that destroy me to the point where I reinstalled minecraft
Flatline is called = Flat-Line because it has no vertical recoil only horizontal Apex just used the Weapon name without giving it its own charakteristic
i thought it was called flatline because it is what it produces on people, 0 heart rate, a flat line in health monitors... you gonna tell me the spitfire isnt called like that because it spits fire? you are telling me the volt isnt electric? you telling me the SMR is not about standarized mortality research?
As a Titanfall vet I really appreciate the apex-people coming over, because they are a nice addition to my EPG stat-rack, due to them being grounded constantly. But fr, glad you're here, enjoy the ride
To anyone coming to try this game for the first time, you have a double jump and the ability to run on walls. PLEASE USE THEM. You'll thank me later. If you're on controller and you dont have paddles, I'd HIGHLY suggest moving jump off of the face buttons and onto a bumper or something so you can look around while wallrunning and jumping. Oh and hipfire is king in this game. use it even at mid range. The movement in this game is incredible and not even hard to pull off really. Seriously, use your movement abilities
My suggestion for newbies is to use the right stick as jump, and the L1 as crouch if you don't have paddles. I've experimented a lot with different configs, and that feels the smoothest in terms of gameplay abilities and such.
Something to note is that, for the most part, you probably won’t even play better wall running all the time, and you may even play worse unless you’re really damn good, but my God is it so much more fun. I would do better playing a bit more grounded most games honestly, but where’s the fun in that!
Like bumper jumper, I have atleast 75hrs been having fun in apex lately tho lol and in apex I have 300hrs although I really enjoy Titanfall > apex In so many ways but most of my friends don’t seem to understand how to play it etc, there’s only like 2 of us that play it and the rest is welp most of them don’t have it and he can’t really play it although at some point I might try to get him into some privates no killing or anything whatsoever so he can learn the movement and then he could start killing npcs while doing so; after that then he could try going for real players after all this is kinda the way i learned to move around although I should maybe lower my sensitivity a lil bit sometimes I miss half my Mag lol
@@demoliman not really if you use your cloak, move fast, use grenades and make use of all the tools at your disposal as well as knowing how to out maneuver the AI you can play on master difficulty the same way you would on other difficulties, just takes more effort.
@@goosegaming7646 I guess. It’s tedious, but definitely doable. I tend to find more enjoyment and use of the different mechanics and play a bit more freely on easier difficulties though
If you plan on playing more titanfall I suggest learning how to play as a titan, most titan players see auto titans as free kills, and pilots see them as free batteries. also, every titan is different, there arent any truly awful ones, just figure out what works for you! Also play the campaign, its so good.
I'm glad to see another fresh Pilot for the battlefield! As a veteran from 2016 through until today, please play the campaign! It will give you a vast playground to evolve your movement, and teach you out of your traditional shooter mindset into a three-dimensional strategic machine!
Titanfall 2 IS the greatest first person shooter. It does nothing perfect, always room to improve. Everything it does do is amazing. Theres no bad or poor. Some can argue okay but not less. I've got almost almost 100 days in game, took 4 years to hit max level 100.49. If you ever need tips or got questions. I'd be happy to answer. I know most things, not everything. There's a lot of animation canceling to save charges of things.
1:21 That's where the flatline gets its name from. The recoil is purely horizontal or a "flat line". For some reason (probably balancing) that feature has been removed in Apex
you are the first apex veteran I saw, who played multiplayer and not campaign right away it's so refreshing to see actual comparison of apex and titanfall gameplay thanks for that
5:50 hey! It's YeomanMaple! You legends should've stayed inside the ring! You're pretty good, but consider utilising wall running and movement more. Even when under fire, being at full speed is far more beneficial to both reposition and return fire. Both against titans and other Pilots. I would highly recommend going through the Singleplayer campaign. Even if you care little for the story, it serves also as a great learning tool for incorporating movement and understanding the high speed mechanics of Titanfall.
Ronin is one of the hardest titans to learn though; this is coming from a Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2 vet. The stryder-class titans are definitely the hardest to learn due to their lack of health, but playing them right turns them into a squishy glass cannon.
It's actually cool to see your apex movement skills actually help you a ton in titanfall. My suggestions are utilize wall running more, wall running gives you a speed boost. You don't need to aim down sights a ton, the hipfire of most weapons in the game is pretty darn accurate (wingman elite is pinpoint accurate). Try out the titans, they're a ton of fun. Utilize your ability more, their cooldowns are significantly shorter then in apex.
The thing that I love about Titanfall 2 is how well respawn pulled off having both FPS style normal game play transition to the more hero shooter esc style of the Titans, people say that Titan customization would've been better, but I disagree, I love the balancing of all the Titans and how they all have clear counters and advantages to each other, and how well thr maps are designed to go from high octane crack monkey movement and then to the giant and lumbering war machine, also the AI in matches make it feel so much more alive, love it, you should also try out the pve game mode, Frontier defence, it shows off thr Titans in a much better class based scenario and is a mode I'd love to see in Apex
As a tf2 vet I'm genuinely amazed by your skill I suggest playing on hold to crouch but I'm sure you know better and since hip fire is accurate ads is kinda useless Great video 👌
The fact that you hardly used wallrunning shows you really are from Apex. To be honest wallrunning is so much fun that i could go on running the walls without firing my gun a single time and still not feel bored.
The "this is Koala from the future" mini segment with apex gameplay explaining Titanfall experience while playing halo music just didn't sit right with me even though these three are my most favorite games ever and ever.
Watching you with CAR makes me want to main it now for a while. Currently I main flatline. Good video man! I’m happy you enjoyed playing. I used to play apex a lot but quit after a while
People be complaining at koalas lack of movement , but in reality people just hate seeing a playstyle that isn't theirs beat them. People aren't used to those playing the ground game and having to watch the floor as well, great job bro it's always nice to see new ways to play. Sidenote if someone kills you and you don't like it then play better guys, if he camps to corner then throw a nade, if he stays low then stay fast and unpredictable, if if he aims better then do everything else better
I used to play with you back in the day. It's good to see you post videos. You're always a great player and it feels good to see your post.Agonizedfob69
You did good for first time trying Ronin, he's literally the hardest titan to play besides maybe Scorch. His main weapon Leadwall is basically a giant shotgun and you have to be pretty close for it to be effective but sometimes get lucky snipes on pilots at decent range.
Wait until he learns to wall-run and tries to stim while wall-running. If he thinks basic stim speed is fast, he's going to be absolutely flabbergasted
you should play more titanfall, this was great 👍👍👍 also DAMN your aim is really good, but you should use the movement to your advantage. you can double jump, wallrun, and if you have grapple, fly across the map basically. this is super good especially against titans, because they are pretty slow and have a big hitbox, you can just run circles around them. i think playing cover and switching where you peek from each time is probably the best way to kill a titan.
So awesome seeing an actual pro play TF|2!! Love this content an hope you play/upload more of this!! Ronin is probably the worst Titian to start off with in my opinion 😂😂
Love seeing this, that’s a the difference between a Pilot and a Legend. A legend knows how to use a gun and hop around, a Pilot knows how to run and take flight. Soon you’ll understand a Titan isn’t just a giant robot. It’s a way of life. Also, car using bastard
the Flatline feels like it has no recoil because its recoil is actually sideways, or in a 'flatline' which is the reason it was named that and has been unfortunately lost in Apex
@@feihnbuckland7011I don’t think he would be twice as good, or certainly not without a lot of practice. If you have good aim, the guy moving isn’t necessarily at an advantage unless they’re aim and movement is on point which takes a while and some may never fully get there. That being said, it’s far more fun, even if not as effective to kill someone while wall running than it is to sit on a building the whole game.
@@reel8453 @sixone93 the thing is yes he's incredible at aiming but in this game sitting still makes you easier to kill by a thousand percent. Being able to nail a pilot with hip fire while air strafing around the map makes you 1. 10x harder to hit and most importantly 2. Unpredictable. If I had died to this guy once or twice I'd know where he's sitting and he'd be gravity starred or holo pilotted etc and shut down. If he was flying around the map quickly I'd have a much lower chance of catching him and plus he'd find his targets quicker and earning more kills/score objectively multiplying the value to his team and his k/d ratio.
I'm a Destiny 2 player...the current problems with the servers and the game in general made me go to Titanfall 2. I finished the campaign on Hard, and then went onto multiplayer. It's an extremely different style of game. The movement takes some getting used to, you'll lose a lot of fights because of enemies running laps around you, the combat is *fast* ...you're alive and then you're dead and you don't even know what happened before the replay shows you. It's a really good game that deserves a LOT of attention to it's multiplayer.
it's kinda hilarious seeing new titanfall player use ronin as their first titan also a advice for your first titan you probably should try tones, monarch or ions as your first titan because they are easier to master than other titans in the game
Your titan is the ronin based on melee attack and close range hit and run fighting style, he is hard to master. I recomand you to use the legion what is a minigun boy with easy mechanics and thick hp bare. Moreover try to keep air and wall run movement as much as possible to be unexpected, grappling hook is pretty op for that . (and noob friendly especialy for ones who struggle with parkour :)
It’s unusual seeing the two play-styles crossover like this… I’m used to Titanfall clips of wall running and sling-shotting, so seeing an Apex playstyle really shows how different the two franchises are.
Titanfall 2s campaign is remarkable. Hope you play it and enjoy it as so many of us veterans of this game have for years. This really is one of the most underrated shooters of all time.
exactly how i see Apex players playing Titanfall, a little tip: try to keep moving as much as possible and not just on the ground (grapple hook or stim are the best for movement)
The thing i remembered once i started playing again was to ditch the reliance of ADS vs hipfiring. In apex you ADS all the time but the hipfire is so broken in TF2 that you can just hipfire any SMG and it'll do just fine from pretty reasonable ranges lol
Man you are good with short positional movement, good for close range encounters particularly when someone's chasing after you, a good technique that relies on aiming and timing. Although this movement style won't do for open air fights as well as being extremely vulnerable to titans, so you're gonna have to learn a few new tricks to help you engage in open air fast dog fights. The Campaign can help you with the basics. For titan combat you my friend have chosen the hardest Titan to master Ronin. I recommend starting with legion or scorch as they are big boys and are decently basic. Legion being gun so you only really have to worry about gun, and scorch where anything you do you'll do damage whether that's your enemy, yourself, or their morale your doing damage. Scorch is also the best auto Titan if you just want to play pilot
You missed out on one hell of a time we had playing this game back in the day. I started on the pc now been playing on the ps4 when it first came out. But pc I love it
Ronin is meant to be use with a hit and run playstyle. Go in, do big damage, get out. I recommend beginning with a different titan. The spitfire, CAR, A-wall, and tone are very hated. Try to avoid them. Pilots can combat titans by climbing onto them to steal their batteries. The pilot gets an alert when you try this, so be careful.
When it comes to new players, the best tip I can give is that the movement works way better for you if you chain slides, hops, and wall runs together to preserve momentum.
The gun skill translates really well, but TF2 is all about movement. Slide hopping, wall running and keeping momentum. It sounds hard but if you watch Iniquity's movement guide you can get it in a couple of minutes. For Titans Frothy guides are amazing, also very short but they give all you need to know.
Yea a couple of the weapons act differently than they do in apex like the devotion if you fire from the hip, the hip fire reticle shrinks rather than grows
Ah, what I wouldn’t give to feel fear when I see Titans again. FYI, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed, the Campaign will introduce you to every concept in the game stage by stage, it’s basically the best 8 hour tutorial ever!
Not bad play, accuracy is on point, very aware of surroundings but by playing slow and on the ground your going to get shot at from above a lot. I can definitely see the apex experience lol
Excellent video. Hopefully he continues to evolve as a TF2 player. He's obviously got that pilot hit-scan thing down like a mofo. This game is just way more chaotic than APEX. Use them anti-titan weapons!
I remember during class someone said "TF2" I thought they were talking about Titanfall 2, but no I was wrong, they were talking about Team Fortress 2, I haven't heard of that game in that time. I was a little embarrassed, but I was lucky to know, love, and play this game. The people who didn't well I hope they play TItanFall too.
I've been a titanfall fan since the TF1 beta. TF2 is one of my all-time favorite games. From the fantastic gameplay to the gritty scifi aestetic, its a treat! I enjoy Apex, but it's no replacement
The key to having good movement is challenging yourself to get under 30 seconds on the gauntlet. This will help your mind focus on parkour and aiming simultaneously.
The wall running and double jump can help you to ambush titans. If you are close enough, you can get on the top of them and do enough damage. Btw, be careful because a titan can destroy you like a cockroach with a single melee attack.
here's a few tips as a titanfall player: try to stay off the ground and instead fly around and bhop on buildings and such. Do not ADS. that is a death sentence in this game, i'm actually very surprised you managed to hold up without hipfiring. also make sure to utilize your abilities more as a titan, since they will make the difference between life and death in every fight. Your anti titan weapons are also very strong and should always be used every chance you have. and finally, auto titans are TERRIBLE, to any manually piloted titan, they are a free kill and to any pilot just a free titan or battery.
The alty is the only gun in the game to have a spread penalty to its ads so in that case it is a downgrade to ads and it has been funny to watch new apex players floundering with it
you can jump on the back of an enemy titan and then you will pull out a battery that does a lot of damage+ you can use that battery to heal ur own titan if you get inside ur titan.
I would suggest choosing a more noob friendly titan like perhaps legion or tone, they are easy enough to learn. The one you chose is ronin, which is one of the most difficult to play good in. Overall, very good performance for a first timer
You need to watch the opening cinematic for the campaign and play the Gauntlet level. Dont move on to multiplayer until you can kill most of the targets in the gauntlet without being on the ground. That will make you much deadlier. I have not played TF2 in years and I can say without a doubt that you would be easy prey to someone like me. And the opening will tell you exactly how to view the maps. All the things you see in the opening are things that can be done in game. Also, fun fact about the sword wielding titan you used. That sword block you did once actually blocks something like 75% of all damage, 90% if Sword Core is active. It effectively gives Ronin more HP than any titan. But if you are new, you should use Ion or Tone. They are very beginner friendly. Easy to use, hard to master. Try out the grenadier weapon called the Softball. I am a beast with it. But it is virtually impossible to use while grounded like you were playing so it will force you to stay off the ground.
im just gonna count the sins let's go. hard ads, no movement, not wallrunning, car ads, playing like it's cod, not grapple slingshotting, always in the lowground, playing scopes,
One time I saw a meme where an apex player would be an absolute slug in titanfall but would have good aim. I thought it was silly, this video showed me that its true
He might've had a better time with the titans if he picked Legion or Tone. Edit: but if you do want to play Ronin, literally just hold sword block, run away from tanky titans, and kill pilots. That's basically how you play Ronin
