I like how all the characters have legitimate flaws. Danji is quick to neglect his friends in favor of newcomers because of his short sightedness. Megumi is too possessive and expects people to understand her feelings without being vocal about it. Tohya is hesitant to enjoy himself out of fear of dissapointing his family. And Zakusa is dumber than a bag of bricks.

As soon as all the character arts got revealed for Overdress I knew Tohya had something going for him. I didn't expect him to be as compelling as he is, but I'm glad he is. Absolute best boi, no competition whatsoever
I can tell how much more you enjoy Overdress than the end of V just from your enthusiasm around it. You've been doing a lot of work, and what you do is great for the game. Enjoyed your commentating during premium springfest, and excited for next weekend's tournaments!
Tbh I love end of V in terms of Clan Selections, I think they're some of the best products this company has made, but I'm of course also very passionate about oD now too haha
Honestly though, I think Tohya is the reason i was really starting to love Overdress. From his first fight with Danji with those beautiful, clean animation graphics when they turned into Bruce and Bastion I was so hyped! Come to find out that Tohya is one of the most grounded and relatable characters I've come to meet in every variation of the Vanguard anime.
Me and my friends were going through the Starter decks at the store and we were reading through Bastion's effect. We were like, that's kinda garbo. Then after this vid, mind blown.
I was always hopeful that Tohya as a character would click with me from when I first saw his design, but damn I didnt think Id click so hard with the mans that I would legit shed tears for him. Tohya is Best Boy love him to pieces Im hoping to see more of him soon!
Great video man, the aggro build is pretty cool especially with the all out dedication to the amount of Grade 3's that it uses. I've personally been taking more of a liking towards the control version of the deck with Sword of Judgement and Painkiller Angel. A versatile 8k booster feels really nice to have that can also provide extra shield value to guard against potential early game rush which seems to be one of Bastion's weak points, but then the Judgement order can also punish the opponent if they extend their board presence too far which I love about the deck :D
I accidentally skipped to the end without realizing and it was just DF saying “this is a good deck” with bastion and Alden next to each other and I legit thought that was the profile until I realized my video was skipped
My build basically is the exact same except I ran 2 extra of the g3 order over Lepisto, but I was contemplating swapping two out for them. I'll give it a shot and see how it plays! Glad to see more Front supremacy.
I agree that fronts in this deck are really good. This was the first deck I was interested in building for overdress format. Then I decided I was going to build everything.
My GF thats learning the game uses him, best friend that side mains him, and former Gold Paladin Stan Brother loves Bastion... So I see it a lot as a Bruce/Hexaorb main.... I was almost able to close my eyes and guess the deck list off the top of my head.
Just something to keep in mind btw if you call alden off of the grade 2 if you have the counterblast you can call another grade 3 to draw 2 cards as well.
I didn't think I'd enjoy bastion as much as I am. I don't usually like overly simple decks but this one is stealing my heart away lol. Just hoping we get a little more complexity to the deck.
I really like how rogue and different the deck is from everything else. This and magnolia(still waiting on that from you Kris xD) I really love. One question. Let's say I have an empty hand, first check I got a grade 3, now as the sequence from what I believe is that the bastion skill activates when a grade 3 hits the trigger zone..so since I have 0 cards in hand I don't have anything to discard..but I could be wrong and that I can discard the grade 3 I just drove check. Does that work? Because the grade 3 I just drove check doesn't go to my hand yet because bastion's skill activates by the time the grade 3 hit the trigger zone.
I noticed you have over sleeves on your cards. Not many people realize that you can use Dragon Shield Clear Standard Size for over sleeves for vanguard and other small card games. I use dragon shield matte on mine. It fits perfectly too!
I have lost to this deck every single time I've played against it with Snow. It requires such specific interaction that I can't quite get the hang of it.
For Fosado is it both Soul and Counter charge? Cause there's a / between the two. On other cards that refer to both soul and counter, there's an &. Although those cards are referring to blasting, not charging.
When you activate the skill that makes all your grade 3 units get “boost”, does that mean your vanguard loses twin drive? Or is it just the rear guards that gain “boost”? And if you drive check your overtrigger, do the rear guards drive check 2 cards each or 1 card each? Do all the grade 3’s have both “Boost” and “Twin Drive” or just one of those? And if it’s just one, which one?
Only rear-guards gain Boost - it doesn't replace their existing Twin Drive (same goes for the Vanguard) The G3 rears drive check 2 if you check the OverTrigger
Is it optimal to run 2 of the Downswing Order even if it's not Control Bastion? Or is running 4 Orders too risky as it increases the chances of Fort to whiff?
Hello I´m new in Vanguard and my girlfriend too. She´s playing Apex Ruler, watching this video now I´ve the question that how or what card is making that the grades 3 in the rear back row allow to boost. Or in general every grade 3 can boost? That means that the grades 2 can boost too?
Tohya’s character writing in episode 6 single handedly helped me from losing interest in this show. An actual card game, with a good character to boot.
In dear days, I love using this deck because I found it to be so damn funny but the lack of grade 1 and 2 straight up made me dumber. I not sure how to manage the resource like when to call, when to guard or what to do when enemy start full agro by the 2nd or 3rd turn. Even worse against ai that stacked trigger after trigger
You have your ride deck set separately which contains your Grade 0, 1, 2, 3, and at the start of each turn you discard one card from hand to ride up to the next grade.
Brother In vanguard zero (English),Can A grate 1 prisone star-vader pavilion with 7000 power without boost can clear my grate 2 Blaster blade sprite rear guard also can star vader infinity zero dragon as a vanguard can attack my vanguard without even clearing my rear guard,can prisone star-vader pavilion in left column can boost vanguard It's all happened in my Rank fight.I am so confused.....😵😵😵😵😵
