I'm a lesbian, but I have to admit that even I have a huge crush on Norway. I mean, who doesn't? I mean just listen to his singing voice, he sounds like an angel!
The song is so beautiful i just- *inhuman noises* ALT FOR NORGE :D my fav is 'vi er..røde,hvite blå!,hele kampen ut skal vi stå på,for norge,vårt fedreland' :') cant believe i remembered it oh god and btw im Indonesian that randomly remembers this OUO
Ehehe, I have to say this but this song is really just made for the norwigian fotball XD Drillos is a fotball trainer, our best. ^^ Though Drillos is really just his nickname. Anyhow, yay for Norway *waves her happy flag of Norway* its good to be a norwigian occasionally ^^
im from norway as you can see from my typical norwegian name that transelate to silver and i realy love that someone made this and people thats not from norway like norway from hetalia:)
Some english words that decends directly from Scandinavian: -Husband/Husbond, Thursday/Torsdag(Tor's Dag(God of Thunder)), Friday/Fredag(Freya's dag(God of fertility and love)) These are just the ones i come up with at the top of my head. Feel free to add more :)
I LOVED this video. Drillos was an excellent choice. This track was an EXCELLENT choice. It means a lot to me because three of my boyfriend's dad's friends are from Norway. They LOVE Drillos, as well as Erik&Kris. We heard this track on the radio last night and we JAMMED OUT like crazy! Thank you for using this track!
@YaoiIsMySin Yeah, swedish, danish and norwegian is damn similar. Our languages are based of the same languahe (wich norway is the country that managed to keep most of). ....And yeah, we can't understand icelandic Btw, is swedish
To me (I'm Dutch), Norwegian/Swedish/Danish is SO much fun! It sounds really weird, but there's often words that are EXACTLY the same as in Dutch or German. It's like * wut wut wut wut HEY I KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! * :D
This song is just perfect and it takes on a really poignant meaning in light of recent events. I'm not ashamed to admit I was almost crying by the end of this video!
Ahhh, Norway is way cool~! I think I fell in love with this song as soon as I heard it. Now I'll be singing it everywhere I go. XD Awesome video, loved some of the pictures in there (Super cute Iceland!!) You've got really great videos! Keep up the awesome work!
This song makes me proud to have Norwegian ancestry :D I'm a bit obsessed with the whole video now...You're videos are awesome! Thanks for being awesome! VI GIR ALT! ALT FOR NORGE! OFRER ALT! OM VI MA! I did that from memory... :D
My birthday is the same as Norway, I live in Norway, I somehow look like Norway (except the fact that I am a girl, and have long hair) and people tell me I'm too blunt and should show more emotions... Only after watching Hetalia I became proud of it.
I got teary eyed just from listening to this beautiful song! TT^TT You can tell that they love their country so much by the passion in their voice as they sing!!
'Alt for Norge', indeed. I hope Brevik gets whats coming to him! My thoughts go to the deceased, who were sacrificed for a man's discriminating views, and those whos lives have been struck by this massacre. Stay strong.
den här sången äger! Har aldrig tänkt på att norska låter nästan PRECIS som svenskaO_o förstod ju allt // This spong rocks! I´ve never thought about that norweigian souns almost EXACTELY like swedishO_o understood everything :P -sweden
Such a beautiful song. I really like these kind of patriotic songs; I always end up feeling patriotic towards the country as well, although I have no connection to it whatsoever. XD
I'm from Norway and I'd say that most of the population (the younger generations, mind you) speak English decently. The ol' timers have a hard time understanding and speaking English though (usually) seeing as there was no English education in the Norwegian education system during World War II and so forth. But it's usually not a problem ;)
Wouw, this is really pretty. I had never heard the Norwegian language before, but when I heard I thought I was listening to Drents (A Dutch dialect, I'm Dutch) and I could even really understand some words :D. I think this is a really pretty song!! might even go to Norway now :D
@akinohikari1000 I found it on Photobucket, but try zerochan(dot)net too :] You could try the tags "Iceland, Norway" and add "shorts" or "troll"/"ghost", I think you could find it there :]
@MelanieVimpula Man, just listening to the two of you made my thoughts spin O.O I never thought Norway "was something" out in the big wide world. (Well, we have the Nobel prize-thingy, but that's about it. And the guy who made it was really sweedish, so many sweedish people are a little angry it's in Norway xD ) Suddenly I feel like I love Norway very very much... I love you Norway! You're so cool in the blue sailor suit! ^^
@Threnna I know it's not my business enter to others' conversation, but I've read you and wanna say something: maybe some countries are in some aspects "little", but Norway has a face in world although almost people know quite nothing (As same happens to all of lands. ). This doesn't occur with unrepresented nations under domain of other countries, these hidden lands remain non-existent for everyone except for who live there.
My friend asked why they said 'dressed in red white and blue' , as those are American flag colors.......and then she wondered why I got so pissed off........
Because of you a good 80-90% of the music on my iPod isnt English. XD Thats why I'm not allowed to burn discs or play speakers lol. I love... All your vids, bro. XD
@MelonDAdevil Well then, let me congratulate and say I am most impressed, since it's normally us Norwegians who understand sweedish and you who don't really understand us xD (since we have some of your tv channels and stuff, y'know). Very impressed ^^
Just keep on dreaming and I know you will make it! The nature is quite beautiful over here and the people are fantastic! The only downside is that everything is so damn expensive ://
@MelanieVimpula Finnish? Cool ^^ I'm Norwegian. Have been watching this amv hundred times over xD And suddenly I realised I really love my country (yeah, took me real long to figure xD ) It's awesome that you want to know more about Norway. I've always been under the impression that no one really cares or know very much of this tiny country with so few inhabitants >.< Guess we're not so bad off after all xP
@MelanieVimpula Yes, in general southern are cheaper, but salaries too. So proportionally we live equal scarce as north. Well, a bit more strangled XDD. It depends on where you live, is not the same the center-land than the coast: Barcelona, Sitges, Salou.. (Where prices can be even higher than Norge.) The official Catalonia is only in Spain, but there's another part in France, so in fact is divided; that's the problem of living between two big countries, pressed like a sandwich.. XDD
@Threnna Finishing: I know some history of Norway, how its tongue looks-like, and know some artists as Christian Krohg or Frederik Collet. First I wanted to learn norwegian but finally got into swedish cause a friend. Nordic lands are considered as a model to imitate in my country .And I wish one day will visit Oslo, the "NasjonalGalleriet" and fjords. Salut from a catalan boy who's living in the downside of Europe.
This video makes me proud to be Norwegian! I like that you took some pictures that showed Norway from his more male/boy side (i'm not so fan of pictures where he looks like a girl, but that's of course just my opinion ^ ^;) But all of Norway!
@nightclouldthegirl You can't really say that because those are "written languages" and not "spoken languages". But if you ask like that, then Bokmål - it's the most common standard form of written Norwegian. You can see that on how "Norway" is written (in Bokmål it's "Norge", in Nynorsk it's "Noreg") :]
