I'm 77 years old now, and I've been going through about a three or four month period of constant sadness, and feeling like I want to cry a lot of the time (mostly having to do with loneliness from missing the woman I love). Listening to this music takes me away from all that, at least for awhile.
My moms 70 I doubt I could get her interested in aphex if I tried, maybe if she heard this mix only, when I was a lad she’d hear me pulling into the driveway blasting drukqs and looked at me like I was lost.
...It's Possible, inch in encouragements for others, those with you, those that have abandoned you; give some too to the butterflies, the neighbor birds, synthesize regrowth into the new you hardly visited or never at all, all we have is now. Thank you for sharing!
when he worked with korg finally, i literally loved it. It felt like a meaningful collab. He literally elevated even the "sellout" game!! Such a great artist.
This thumbnail is sweet! I used to listen to aphex twins ambient stuff on repeat painting in tunnels just like that by myself. Some of the most relaxing shit I’ve ever done 😎
@@pianofight I was living out in Orange County for a few years and there were tunnels and ditches like that EVERYWHERE. Going down into a whole world of art that not many people know exist was an awesome experience. It’s like being on a different planet walking around in the pitch black with a lantern surrounded by some incredible graffiti. I’ve moved back home to Kentucky and sadly they don’t have many spots like that here 🥲
@@Smoothjazzsundaysman I live a bit north of you. Love the hills. Would totally buy land and become a hobbit listening to AT and playing music all day.
@@Smoothjazzsundaysthat’s ironic since OC is mostly lacking any semblance of culture or arts whatsoever and people mostly live cookie cutter lifestyles. Keep up the great work, wherever you are!
@@NickHchaos True true. Go a bit north of fountain valley and you’ll find some lol. It’s definitely funny that my favorite tunnels to paint were underneath Irvine, last place you’d expect to see a total underground world full of art
Thank you so much for this immaculate mix! it has so many gems that I did not know before, I love how you mixed pieces that represent Aphex's career as a whole 👏👏
Hello there, I'm a visual artist, for 14 years i stop showing my work and stayed in my studio. I have been working on restricting the external influeces. Only you are allowed in. In that period I have produce about 5000 paitings and drawings, close to a hundred carved sculptures and many photographies; many things happened in my life during these times of destruction and reconstruction, your music has been my companion and inspiration and helped me processing the caos and the human inhalation. Working while listening to you, the emotional richness has increase the layers and emotional load I putt on my work. Thank you for the music, it enriches me.
Lots of fantastic album-worthy tracks in this collection that I don't remember hearing despite having listened to dozens of Soundcloud dump compilations and all the batches as they were put online. It seems it truly is the gift that keeps on giving. Great selections, thank you!
So many amazing tunes here, 1:02:57 Nagradrums 2 +7 is special.. 3 Gerald remix interweaving melodies are quite hypnotic 55:57 / subCan is dope. love the track at 1:36:15!!! and The last 2 tracks Sekonda and Early Morning Clissold are beautiful beyond measure. 1:45:50 bliss
Thank you so much for this. I'd never heard these songs. I'm in love. And good work with the artwork and timing and timestamps. 27:21 . I feel like I'm remembering a great trip I had in a great house with great people and this song was playing but I've never heard this song before. Memories from a time I haven't shared yet. I know what video I will be playing when this Great Trip happens. Thank you thank you again. Tonight i trip alone and give up on making music and relax into aphex rhythm.
I feel you. I discovered this guy in '96 and I have yet to hear them all. He has so many tracks over such a long period of time, especially over the more recent years after his hiatus. Dude is a timeless, grand-master level scientist or something. I dunno. I likey tho.
great curation. i havent heard a bunch of these, at least in several years. 1lmt for example, so good! instant classics. I always prayed RDJ would someday drop his archives on us 🙏
All I needed today and I am in the same space where I discovered aphex twin for the first time the same small city of mine and if not the music of Aphex twin I dont know how I will cope with the narcs in here !
whaaaaa?! no. I heard it in a dream. It was shouted at me and caused me to wake up. I wrote it down. that was almost twenty years ago. I friggin love Warren Zevon. I will now go listen to that song. thank you!
I’m 3 trillion years old and and have witnessed the creation of the universe and this is nowhere close to it but do think this is better than Madonna and I like it

@@pianofight It's like comments on Aphex Twin's live : "Oh Richard is back on earth" .. that kind of comments repeated over and over 🤣 Don't know why. Nice mix by the way. Ty
@@therecyclist_ it’s reassuring that in 449,341,630 years we can still do things and stuff. …wait - are you the time traveler? where am i? am i painting bridges or tunnels or whatever that other dude is doing?
