People gotta stop saying that it's a talent, it's okay if you want to say that, but it's probably just love for doing something and pure interest and putting hours into it because of that. I also don't have any musical education but I enjoy making music and I could do it for a full day because it's something nice to do while being alive
Good job man! I have a fu**ing super painful disease and some of my mornings are rough!! When I wake up just beat down from no sleeping and I feel like breaking down crying, I put this cover on. It makes me feel like I'm not alone. It makes me feel at peace and I push on. Music is the voice of our souls and this cover resonates with me. Thank you for posting this!
Back again. I come back to this song all the time. It’s my favorite cover of a14, which is already an ethereally important song to me, and you played it perfectly on one of my favorite instruments. I hope I meet you someday
Steel guitar is a beautiful instrument. I wish more artist would experiment with it other than the country genre. Pink Floyd and Elton John were wonderful with it.
Man, this is just gorgeous. Brian Eno and Aphex Twin would be proud. Reminds me of "Deep Blue Day" by Brian Eno because of the pedal steel guitar. Beautiful.
don't normally comment on videos.. however, this is one of the sweetest covers i've ever heard on youtube.. top job mate, excellent tone and great phrasing. it's incredibly relaxing and almost dream like
Galaxy Flowers are you ok? op was just pointing out it’s not really a mainstream instrument. he never said nobody has ever heard of it before. idk why you had to be so hostile on your response
I was not expecting to see you here!!! Aphex Twin is amazing and this cover is equally so. I’ve been absolutely loving the new van build, I’m excited to see what’s to come.
What an ethereal sound. It's remarkable how it changes what is quite a close and intimate piece into something much wider and encompassing without losing its essential nature. Brilliantly done.
I always loved this cover so much and finally got around to listening to the EP and I couldn't believe I saw Yekermo Sew. I've been obsessed with Ethiopian music the past few years, and your rendition is so wonderful.
@@borohhh I actually listened to Richards ambient content before I got to his acid stuff. Still, your point is absolutely valid, especially for those who only know Aphex Twin from stuff like “come to daddy“.
Pedal Steel is one of the coolest instruments in existence. I often think about how it is an untapped source of potential for music outside of country. You have achieved some great sounds in this video. Definitely subscribed
The Decembrists use it occasionally in their music, with a prominent example being in the track "The Hazards of Love Part 4 (The Drowned)". Their stuff is I'd class as progressive folk rock, but they're distinctly not country.
Hey man I just wanted to tell you how much I love to listen to you play this. I sit for hours with it on repeat with my little dog next to me, have done for weeks now. You took an already stunningly beautiful song and took it somewhere even more meaningful. Thank you so much for putting this out into the world.
now I want a more mature version of the spongebob show where they have to deal with adult emotions and situations, and spongebob has a smoking addiction and is sick of the krusty krab, but feels he's too old to move on and do something greater with his life, I can hear this playing as he walks home to his dilapidated pineapple under a setting sun....now that would be a good watch
Holy molé amigo....I've been listening to this track for catharsis for almost 12+yrs. You truly do Richard James justice. Thanks for executing that. Turned my dark night positive.
