I read the 33 1/3 book on Selected Ambient Works II, and it stuck with me that Richard said his work station will always be set up near his bed--that getting to music right out of sleep, or late at night right before sleep, was the most "magical" part of the creative process for him. This theme is spot on, so.
My wife walked down the aisle (actually, across a natural bridge) to Lichen and I started bawling. Here's hoping that ambient Aphex becomes a staple at weddings.
I still can't find a lady who actually even wants to hang out with me! :( Best wishes to anyone reading this from Rolland at Castle Hassall on the edge of The Atlantic
I've used Z Twig as my alarm sound for almost a decade, so hearing it in the middle of this mix was disorienting to say the least. It's such a perfect start to every morning: bright and peppy, but not repetitive or cheerful enough to hate it.
I really love Richard's "pure" and heavenly ambient. His experimental work in the spirit of "elephant song" or "come to daddy" is beautiful, but such calm pacifying works are the best that he can do, literally a masterpiece.
Totally PURE like always from Aphex Twin. Love these tunes, beautiful, groovy moody, perfect beats and synths!! What a nice collection of songs for an album. thx for the share
A really delightful set of tracks. Britain really does produce some talent. I'm also loving other various UK experimental electronica based acts like Unkle, Four Tet, Squarepusher, Burial, Autechre, Massive Attack, Forest Swords, Allflaws
Damn I wish this mix was on sound cloud as well, it’s so fucking beautiful. Lots of tracks I hadn’t heard before that have become instant classics for me!
Save me from influencers telling you how to improve your life. Leave us alone. We just want to be ourselves. We don´t want to follow the best advices someone could receive. Everything is so intentional nowadays. I just want freedom. I don´t want to be my better self. I just want to grow my own garden inside of me at my own time.
When I saw this channels name, kid eats keyboard it immediately reminded me of the art for the track orphans, and it's similarity to those sour candy strips. I definitely want to eat a few of these synth sounds..
There is a percussion sound in Lush Slow Blips that sounds like someone is hitting something behind my wall, doesn't sound like it is from the speaker.
Hey, can you upload this elsewhere? Soundcloud for instance? Makes it much easier for people to download this and it avoids the risk of youtube ever taking it down. Just a little recommendation. Thanks for the great mix, you’re awesome
