Remade a section of Mt Saint Michel + Saint Michaels Mount fo funsies Check out my soundcloud fr please: / kaidiak Here's the project file: drive.google.com/file/d/117VE...
Thank you for making the file available, I really appreciated being able to study it. I spent a lot of hours looking at your noise generator, very cool.
Richard is a genius, for sure, but it's usually how it's done with covers. Creating a track like Mt Saint Michael is pretty troublesome, but making something sound exactly like Mt Saint Michael is twice as much of work
It could take longer to copy something in such painstaking detail than to write it from scratch really, OP did a very good job in terms of accuracy (god damn though, Aphex Twin's sound selection in the original version and the mix, the way the percussion pops etc., is unmatched).
its easier to make something really complicated on the spot because you already have a vision of what you want, but copying such complex and intricate works is a pain in the ass because you dont know what effects/sounds went into it, therefore you have to spend some time analyzing the song in question
@@808uzytkownik maybe, but everything has to make sense as a whole and you don't have any reference like i said, so it's still gonna take massive amounts of time, you can't just throw some sounds together even though it sometimes sounds like that. the amount of time it must've taken him to lay out the progression, the mood shifting, dynamically switching sounds during a sequence etc. is still gonna be a lot greater than simply listening for the patterns and laying them out, i would think.
@@redorchidee1372 I honestly think you're just skilled. Your reaper stuff is really accurate, for me it's much easier to make a knock-off of drukQs (of similar quality) than to make exactly that
Woooooah man u really stuck to the tune but made it your own, bravo I imagine years from now, doing this will be more mainstream. Like jazz mucisians transcribing chaarlie parker licks.
