Lol yes yes yes my friend I'm a 53 year old school raver and original break beat soldier here. Absolute masterpiece x still rocking it who's got a dove lol
I know the feeling. Some old jungle is not the same, THIS SONG IS A perfect timeless example of why I well ALWAYS LOVE DJ Aphrodite. No need any drug to feel his jungle soul. Plur aloha
I got hold of this by swapping my promo version of Turbulence by Moving Fusion. That was a masterful swap coz I had the album version of Turbulence so I never lost out 😌👌🏾
I managed to type this one radio show hosted by Aphrodite at some point around 96 or 97 and I listened to that tape over a 100 times. it was lethal and had this and so many other bangers from Aphrodite. too many memories. I remember this one and my dad had hired a Mondeo and I set the speakers off to only kick from my passenger side speaker and turned the bass up and kept rewinding this tune and quite a few others too. great memories.
Could you recommend anywhere in London that would be good for buying vinyl of people like Aphrodite? I've been to a few places but the dnb section always seems to be so limited!
oh yeah Aphrodite tracks stand out in a crowd for sure. Those basslines just rip thru dancefloors. We booked him at a party in Chicago back in '01 which was awesome, so many other UK Dnb guys I never got to see though, mainly Micky Finn, Kenny Ken and Brockie and Mc Det. I did get to see Hype and GQ which was also great but despite the love of jungle around here, production crews always made it the "2nd room stepchild" and settled for locals or maybe big name US guys like Dieselboy or Ak1200 but an average cost for a house headliner back in '99-00 in my area was like $2-5k(guys like Bad Boy Bill, Derrick Carter, Felix da Housecat etc whereas the average money spent on a jungle act was $400-1500 which in the midwest usually meant DJ 3D, Phantom45, Snuggles, Freaky Flow etc. But bringing in the big names from the UK was never a priority.

~I need to dig the vinyl out and get some new decks, this sounds slightly different then the vinyl version I have, a wav would be awesome, one of the first tunes I mixed when learning to beat match.
OK, i remember Amiga Format having an article on people using Amigas. Coldcut and Aphrodite were in the magazine articles, and this track was on the cover CD :)
I don't sell any ring tones, at least not directly, It may be someone has ripped my tune and selling it for themselves, which has happened more times than I want to think of. Whats is the link to where you got it ?
The good old days, were have you gone in my life. To convince you there was a virus so far, and if you take death shot like that your gone. The foundation to Mr Kaiser Gates.
