Hi. Not directly. API Backups enables you to make backups directly on your hosting provider using an API. If any of the hosting providers can be configured to also send backups to Google Drive after they are done on the hosting provider itself, then the extension will be of help.
Hi, for GridPane, there are no other steps. It should automatically detect which child sites are hosted on the associated GridPane account. If the issue persists, please open a private Help Desk ticket so we can collect some additional information & investigate further. mainwp.com/my-account/get-support/
Hi, There are no news that I can share about Kuma support. There's an open suggestion for it on our official feedback site. Please feel free to give it a vote and/or comment: feedback.mainwp.com/plugins/add-uptime-kuma-support-for-aum-cl6qjut4u10706191xo2n2ah3eo5
The API Backups extension uses the hosting providers of the sites to perform and store backups, so they are indeed free. However, some may charge extra for the storage space taken up by the backups.
Hi, thanks for the video. In the settings, there is this sentence" "MainWP is actively moving away from further development of the native backups feature". Does it mean this API Backup's feature will be of no use in a few time ?
Hey, Native backups was our old backup system, which was developed for use in our old retired extension. It was left in the MainWP Dashboard for legacy purposes. API Backups is new and entirely different, and we plan to expand and support it for a long time to come.
I don't understand the usefulness of this feature. If i am using cPanel, all i see that the api can do is backup to the same location as the site which has limited usefulness.
