Wonderful explanation!!!!!!!!! I have seen so many videos on Webservices/REST/SOAP and i literally didn't get a single idea about all these concepts. And You have proved again that you are the best and your tutorials are great to learn for any person. I really appreciate your efforts Mr Raghav. Thank you very much once again. keep it up!
This is, beyond doubt, one of the most properly thought-out and executed video series on youtube for web services.Really informative and thanks a lot for all the efforts.
Hello Raghav, yesterday I found these video and just viewed all 6 in this series. I have had very little experience with web services. I have learned so much from your clear explanations. Thank you so much! I will revisit this series and your channel! Have a great day!
Dear Raghav, Thank you very much for such an informative session. I request you to please upload some more videos on API testing. Looking forward to it. Thanks
Hi Raghav, Nice way of explanation. I like your videos. Are you planning to add any more videos to this series, I am more interested in SOAP UI and Restful automation videos with Java.
Too good... Excellent and simple explanation... A few code examples would be more to ask... But would be helpful for sure... But concept wise... excellent
Hi Amit, API and Web service serve as a means of communication. The only difference is that a Web service facilitates interaction between two machines over a network. An API acts as an interface between two different applications so that they can communicate with each other. An API is a method by which the third-party vendors can write programs that interface easily with other programs. A Web service is designed to have an interface that is depicted in a machine-processable format usually specified in Web Service Description Language (WSDL). Typically, “HTTP” is the most commonly used protocol for communication. Web service also uses SOAP, REST, and XML-RPC as a means of communication. API may use any means of communication to initiate interaction between applications. For example, the system calls are invoked using interrupts by the Linux kernel API. All Web services are APIs but all APIs are not Web services. 2. Web services might not perform all the operations that an API would perform. 3. A Web service uses only three styles of use: SOAP, REST and XML-RPC for communication whereas API may use any style for communication. 4. A Web service always needs a network for its operation whereas an API doesn’t need a network for its operation.
Hello, i am learning API and these videos are quite helpful!! Thanks for your generous gesture in helping us learn. So, in this video you have said "Simila to JS in a web browser this allows you to add functionality without re-deploying client software" - does this mean we have the implementation where client side code changes does not require code re-deployment to be actionable?
Hi, yes this is the last video until now, Will add more sessions, you can see the playlists here - ru-vid.com/show-UCTt7pyY-o0eltq14glaG5dgplaylists?sort=dd&view=1&shelf_id=0
Hi, thanks for the video! Can you share which screen recording app did you use for the pointer? It can be seen at 03:25. Appreciate your time putting this together!
Thank you for this video of RESTful API. I have workign experience on Internet of things domain. Now i would like to learn API testing. Can i get suggestion on which tool to use .Whether to use Katalon or POSTMAN tool or any other tool?
sir, I am working on a web service for a real time synchronization between two applications or systems which Service should I use.. SOAP or RESTful or is there a third choice?
Hi Ramesh, your requirement is very generic and at a very high level. You will have to get specific needs and then drill down on the choices.Generally speaking REST is nowadays preferred over SOAP due to its flexible nature.
i really like your explanation , but it's difficult sometimes to understand what are u saying because of the accent .. try please to work on that .. i thank you very much for these videos and i hope u will keep on
