Jacob Wilkes I meant Alex’s character himself. Michael J.Fox posted on his Instagram about two months ago that he thought Pete Buttigieg would make a good president. Pete Buttigieg is a Democratic , therefor Michael J. Fox must be a democratic or an independent. The character and personality of Alex P. Keaton is very conservative. You see that when he pretends to stand up for women’s rights to get a girl. He even admits voting for Ronald Regan who is a republican and politically speaking also a conservative. Michael J. Fox is different from his character on Family Ties because Michael J Fox is an actor, and that is what actors do .
