I've seen tons of comments about how other people deserve the award more than the winner and I'm just sitting here thinking, why can't you just be happy for the person who won. I personally think tony deserves it and if anybody else won, I think they deserve it too but I won't be sitting behind my screen saying how other people should have won. It's a little disrespectful, to me. Just be happy for them.

You guys need to stop. Tony is an awesome guitarist and deserved that award. He doesn't do solos but he ALWAYS shreads. Just because you don't like the band doesn't mean you have to hate on the lead guitarist. He's the lead so that means that the *rythm guitarist* usually gets the solos. Before you start to talk shit about a band member *learn their position in the band*.

ok so everyone that was nominated obviously deserved the award, otherwise they wouldn't have been nominated haha (we all know that tho). so since everyone was equally deserving of it (imo), it was just a matter of popularity of the bands and how many fans would vote for them. and maybe i'm wrong, but i think ptv has the biggest fan base out of those nominated so it makes sense that tony won. tho i would've been happy with any of them winning tbh.

i love all of these bands... they're all amazing guitarists, and they are all very deserving of this award, I am very happy for Tony because he's never really recognized within his own band, but honestly it would've been a better, more driven, competition if the fandoms (mostly fangirls) were more aware and thoughtful about the other nominees, rather than just picking and choosing their favorites, but then again many things are like this, so we can't really do anything about it but be happy for the winners and give the other nominees the same respect...
