I have cold chills just by listening to this and imagine all those people having to see the war in front of their house, not on newspaper nor radio nor TV, but see the horror with their own eyes
An anthem is to celebrate something important, in ww2 there was nothing to celebrate about.I don't say that it shouldn't be remembered, just not celebrated.
@@clone3_7 interest is too neutral as a word, everyone has interests and they have not to be necessarily against the survival of others. No, to make war you need greed, cupidity and also hatred. Ideological hate and ideological indifference. Wars are never only economical or political interests because wars are always too expensive and risky
@@tommylenticchia2319 A state is interested normally in preservation of its power and influence, also in its expansion. The government is interested in the same thing, so that they may continue to govern the population and to eventually gain more power. These are the fundamentals, and not necessarily some emotion. As Lord Palmerston put it: "We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow." I will not deny, that there are wars which broke out, because of emotions and not necessarily out of interests, but for the Ukr-Ru war it is clearly a war of interests not of emotions, sure you get emotions, but they were not the starters for this conflict. Just like how WW1 did not broke out, because of the of the archduke's death, that was only the casus belli.
@@clone3_7 what you have explained is an ideology about power, one among many in the history of mankind. You say that states have interests, but states does not exist, humans exist. The state is only a concept to think, comunicate and deal power through some specific institutions that have historically developed with this concept. So states does not have interests, the people behind them have and those people like every person have emotions and a psicology that influence decisions. Behind all the ideologies or philosophies that politicians or men of power could have to justify their decisions there are always emotions. Hatred and cupidity existed far before the invention of the state and influence human decisions since the dawn of history
@@tommylenticchia2319 What you say is true, but again you have to see, that certain humans in position of power have to act according to the interest of a group, groups or a society and not necessarily act, because of their emotions. This is what I am saying, that certain wars do not take place, because of hatred, but because of a set of conditions which have aligned in such a way, that an action has to be made, which results in evil. I am not saying, that acting on those interests cannot be evil, more often than not states acting on their interests pull out some of the most morally evil or at the very least questionable toolkits. I am simply saying, you do not have to harbour any emotions towards a group or an entity in order to be its belligerent. During the clash of such interests, they tend to then manifest in physical space in the form of actions. These actions, of course more often, than not will breed hatred. In any case, simply put the original source of the on going war mentioned in trebucher's comment is not hatred, but several state interests in conflict with one another.
Warning: You are about to enter the unforgiving WWII European Theater! You will NOT be able to get this apocalyptic tune out of your head. Sheer awesomeness by Kenji!
This documentary is sososososo Impressive. And the soundtrack is amazing. And then I saw Kenji Kawai in credits, no wonder it's amazing then. I love his works in Fate/Stay Night, and the I love the most there is La Sola, so heart-wrenched.
Let's see -Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -Maquia when the promised flower blooms -Resident Evil Code Vendetta -Knights of Sidonia -IP MAN Anything else that is also composed by kenji kawai??
@PhEnOmEnAlDuSk : Yes i agree with you, the soundtrack from this documentary is very, very special, all 6 episodes are top quality and this soundtrack makes it even better to perceive in some way how were those times, living day by day with the fear that one day a bomb could fall over your home, thats only one example, the are too many other examples. I think from my point of view its one of the best documentary WW2 with the rival of The World at War a 26 british series from 1973.
Great Composing...listening to this will make you feel the fear...desperation...rage and sadness...in short...glimpse of the WWII composed in to a song!!
We need continously reminder such these documentaries to remind people of nowadays what war is and not to repeat such mistakes People forget usually and they think war is simple but once it happens every one regrets. Exactly the same what happened when Hitler invaded Poland... He may expected that it will go quiet that time.. But it ended with massive lose
@PhEnOmEnAlDuSk : I don't know if it is a direct rival to Apocalypse, World at War is black n white ,this one is coloures, that one deepens a bit those times, there are some episodes a lil boring, but they are others interesting and terrifying for example Episode 20: Genocide, it contains "strong images" and an awesome ending, the last episode, 26, it presents an french town at the beggining of the episode who after 30 years is still deserted, no one lived there.
@ synax1991 and neukertjeful : I really dont know how to help you, its got 165 MB, the song its a lil difficult to put it on mail, and i don't have so much time, im sorry. Should i make a playlist so you can hear the all without needing to find them?
