@@klowexodar Just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not in the top 3. The Fans deff consider the ost top 3. I would say its tied if not betters than 7's
@@ProfessionalPatches Which fans? Because I never see it mentioned in the conversations about best OSTs or even popular songs from the OSTs. XV has some of the least memorable music in the series since XII. I love Yoko Shimomura but this OST was largely underwhelming. And in my opinion, it’s definitely not better than or tied with 7 or even 7 remake, which actually IS a top 3 OST.
@@jackdalton2872 the prophecy was that the chosen king would sacrifice himself to save the world from darkness and in royal version u see him happy I’m heaven with Lunafreya. He spent years contemplating on his decision while everyone was outside fighting for their lives
@@EST283 if they didn't cut so much stuff out mid development it would have made way more sense I love the game but the amount of cut content and features is sad to me ;(
While I understand that this is Final Fantasy theme and it's a darn good one, main melody keeps telling me "Hey, this new Elder Scrolls theme is dope!" I'm not even that huge TES fan.
I don't think this could be a TES song at all. But Final Fantasy XV was very very "westernized", and the soundtrack maybe "suffered" the same effect, and maybe that gives this impression of sounding like a TES song. But that's just my opinion.
I can’t hear it as anything but Final Fantasy. Mostly because this song came out so long before the game that it ended up as DLC for the Final Fantasy 3DS music game sequel, Theaterythem Curtain Call. I played that track so many times... Mostly because it was a fun track to play and earn points with.
The sword attack that bahamut uses here has a similar animation to the quickening/mist attack that Basch Von Rosenburg uses in final fantasy 12, interesting.
I quit playing this game right after the timeskip happened... I got spoiled on how the story would end and after that I just quit playing. I might pick this up again and start over from the beginning just to experience it all again and actually clear the game myself. It was such a good game.
I spoiled myself when the game came out ofc (also saw the ending) and it didn't ruin my playthrough when I played xv for the first time this year, it's way better to experience it
I disagree with previous commenter. The additional DLCs give perspective to key moments in the game, like Prompto and Ardyn’s backstory. I spoiled the ending for myself before getting to the Altissia party. But the gameplay experience was unforgettable. A lot of things you don’t see coming
Nah man, go play it again. The timeskip, even if you know the ending, is the culmination of everything you've experienced throughout the entire game. It's 100% worth it.
All the apocalypsis songs are variations of the same song. Much like how FF always uses the same song but variations of it for several things in several titles. One of my favorites in XV is Sunset Waltz/Valse Di Fantastica
It’s heartbreaking that most people didn’t like this game. It wasn’t the best gameplay wise. But story? Oml even tho it’s expanded between a movie and anime and game. If you watch all of it and play the game. Amazing experience
@@myoldchannel0 dude fucked with everyone's fate, Ardyn wasn't always evil, Somnus (first king) is a murder and betrayer cause of him, Ardyn's love died cause of fate. Noctis is a descendent of a murder, Noctis' love also fuckin died, his dad too, Ignis is blind, world had to be half fuckin ruined before day could come again. Anyways, that's why in the original dlc story, there would've been a noctis and ardyn vs Bahamut fight. Sorry if all that sounded rude, fuck Bahamut
Anybody who's played Episode Ardyn would hate Bahamut. I feel the ending to ffxv would be much better if Noctis knew Ardyn's motivation. Now the whole "get off my throne" thing makes Noct look like a dumbass who didn't even know what he was fighting for
@@kaiser5573 *Dammit I knew fighting Bahamut for everything they did was the direction it was going* Not that I have anything against that, not by a longshot; it would've honestly been an amazing plotline and it's an utter shame what happened.
if you're still wondering about it, that moment she reclaimes Noctis to be the true savior of humanity and light before the Evil. So, yeh, that was quite a scene (just before Ifrit and right after the doggy :D)
I don’t know what that serpent is because I have not played this yet. But I reckon it’s something along the line of jormungand or leviathan. Feels like one
@@jonasfadi8213 X is an actual turn based jrpg so by that alone makes it better then XIII. XII is just better then XIII in every measurable way from story to combat to the characters. That Gambit system wasn't good but compared to the Paradigm system it was pure gold. And why are you calling out XIV and not XI?
Its such a shame that the gameplay was SO god awful, the story, the visuals and everything else was pretty damnn awesome but the whole game suffered due to its god awful actual gameplay.
@@Artemi22 The combat was awful, felt way too much like a button basher than it did a Final Fantasy game. Just like the FF 7 Remake, they ruined it with a combat system for the current generation that likes to bash all the buttons. You could tell that they redesigned the combat system in 15 along with half the game and rushed it out, before the changes the gameplay looked great but i dunno what happened or why they needed to change like 90% of the game, the story, the gameplay and everything but but they ruined it. While it wasnt perfect (it was too easy to abuse) I think going with something similar to the Final Fantasy 12 combat system would have been better, while that was a change it still felt like Final Fantasy. 15 and 7Remake feel nothing like Final Fantasy in terms of combat and i am betting 16 will be exactly the same, hell i restarted the original Final Fantasy 7 again and still love it. Graphics might be terrible but its still an utterly amazing game, just a shame what they did to the Remake.
@@ArmageddonAsh yes, the gameplay has quite a few flaws and is pretty radically different from the games before it for me personally I thought the addition of being able to change characters mid battle that have their own playstyles made the game a lot less of a button masher and a lot more interesting, it's a shame it wasn't a thing on release
@@aeroga2383 Hang on, are you saying because i dont like the new games that means i am not a fan? You do know you can be a fan and still not like something right? You dont have to like every aspect of every game you know. Given that i have played them for over 20 years. Clocking in hours on over 13 Final Fantasy titles. Yes i would say i am a fan, that doesnt mean that i have to like the direction they took the series and i dont. It is however their choice to dumb down the game into mindless button bashing. Like a mix between 12 (without the cheese way of breaking it) and Type Zero HD would have been perfect in terms of more action based combat that still feels like Final Fantasy. No one can deny what a mess 15 was and it shows in the game how much of it they had to rebuild and redesign when they decided to take the game apart and redo it. The Story, Music, Visuals were fantastic as you would expect from a Final Fantasy game. The problem was the most important aspect - Gameplay. Hell, i have restarted 7 (Original) for i have lost count how many times now - for one reason, the gameplay was fantastic. Sure the visuals are no longer there but the story, the music AND the gameplay still is and i would take gameplay over visuals any day. I have also lost count of the times i have replayed 8, 9 and 10 (10-2 is kinda eh, so that gets less) Im so "not" a fan that i havent purchased 7,8, 9 and 10/10-2 on multiple different consoles throughout the years....
Great music and visuals, too bad everything else in the game sucked. Smartphone-like gameplay, terrible story, horrible narrative, intentional plot holes, NPCs that are introducted in the story and never ever appear again, repetitive sidequests...
