This is the song "Bittersweet" by Apocalyptica, live from the "life burns"-live DVD. I ripped it from the DVD, just because I love this song. The sound is MUCH better here then the actually recording on their album!
Four super-attractive rock stars and master classical musicians gather at a rock concert to play my favorite lullaby. The rest of the world would be choking on the irony, but to me, and I'm sure to the rest of the fans here, there's almost nothing better than this. I love how things like this are our normal. And while I'm here to say it, this is an incredibly moving piece.

I love the way Apocalyptica use there instruments to play a modern music. From the first time I heard them I was completely fascinated with how talented they are.
Music. Music is sound, but so much more. I have been unsure of so much, and have felt pain, happiness, and many other emotions, however, music has been a comfort. When I was unable to cry, music allowed me to do so. When I was in morn, I was given peace. Music is able to use sound to convey emotion, but more then that, it can help many to find things in themselves. Music is far more important then anyone thinks, and all forms have reason for being. Please, love and respect music.
the transition in the end just makes me shiver all over, mikko (drummer) puts so much passion to his drumming, it all seems to fall apart perfectly. i wub it
Wow, you are right, someone earned their fortune to the penny for recording this live show. And the audience is so respectful! I am amazed. I hope to see this band someday.
violin is such a great instrument,sounds good only when pplz with great passion and feel play . cheers to such great violin players and cheers for apocalyptica too.
this is such a beautiful piece of music! *__________________* its just sad that I always get the sudden strong urge to run and not look back when it starts - thanks to the 'singers' they choose... they gave me the creeps! XD Takes a good minute to get over that!

I agree... i have this dvd and i think the drum is way too loud! not bad... but too present I,d say. They are so good... such an amazing song. loooove it
@GaidonxP I am grade 8 cello and yeah.... after 13 or so years of playing cello, you just get to know where to put your fingers. Its like touch typing or something like that
