Our old German punk lady Nina Hagen. Thumbs up, I liked see also Nina Hagen - So Bad. Nina Hagen (born March 11, 1955 in East Berlin) is a German singer, songwriter, actress and voice actress. She is known as the German "Godmother of Punk" and influenced the German New Wave.
Nina Hagen is a classically trained opera singer and also a actress and her mother was a famous actress in Germany... She is crazy but also unique and great!
Nina Hagen can do so much crazy stuff with her voice! She is a crazy good singer. I know a lot of people in germnany who dont really like her because of her crazyness but I can only appreciate what she did. greets :)
Apocalyptica are the the cellos and drummer. They are Finnish and were formed in 1993. They use guest singers a lot, including songs with Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach), Joakim Broden(Sabaton), Brent Smith (Shinedown), Corey Taylor (Slipknot) .Adam Gontier(ex- 3 Days Grace, St. Asonia), Gavin Rossdale(Bush), and Christina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil)
@@pajuification I ran a technical bookstore then, by day...nerd heaven. Customers were always bringing us cool music for the store PA...we'd play Zappa, Pink Floyd...anything really. I remember putting that cd in the 1st time and being so excited!
Apocalyptica guys are crazy talented. This song is of course Nina show from start to finish. I recommend: Apocalyptica - One (Plays Metallica By Four Cellos - A Live Performance) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RzJPFRCaWVY.html
Nina Hagen's heyday was long before Rammstein, in the 1970s. She had a massive vocal range of 5 octaves. She also had a career in the United States. Greetings from Germany.
Nina Hagen is amazing, please do more, she is always entertaining. She is the godmother of Punk has been around for ever and has the most amazing vocal range. If you want something surprising try Naturträne von Nina Hagen.
Some more cello music to try out :) Apocalyptica ft. Nina had a vocal training. There was also classical singing and a lot of talent. Today, 09.09.2022 , 22.25 CET, German - French TV Channel ARTE. Title: "Rammstein Paris" !!!! The complete concert.
"Time stands still and I am cold".......Seemann ( "Sailor" ) ......Nina is a unique performer/artist/vocalist who, even though I speak only a little German, captures the eyes, ears and soul of this viewer........'"Der beste Seemann war doch ich......."
She was something different back in the days, the 70ths, in Germany, German new wave/punk, and later on, in the Netherlands. She got a lot off publicity when she became friends with Herman BROOD r.i.p. from the Netherlands, he was a famous rockstar in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 A famous song from her is: Unbeschreiblich weiblich. I think she was a role model for Ramstein.
Why don’t Ovaries sail ships? They’re not sea men. ( I’m often 12 years old myself). Buster looks like such a good boy! Congrats on new school year. Do you work in a specialized school, or have a specialized job, or do you just start later in Arkansas? My wife has been back a month already. Guess that means no surprise live stream of Floor’s new video here this morning. Wolfman, I hope you get exactly what you want and need from your work leave.🙏🏻 All the best to you both!
Nina Hagen is the german Godmother of Punk. She has a great voice, but her utterances on social media or in interviews have caused that I backed away a bit. I think Wolfman might be interested in a german band called Coppelius. They call their style Kammercore or Heavy Wood. They play metal with classical instruments, like cello, double bass or clarinette.
It's a pity, because this performance seems like playback and not live. Probably because it's on the RTL2 TV-station where nobody sings live. As great as Nina is... her lip syncing is pretty terrible. :D
I´m not the biggest fan of Nina Hagen. She´s too crazy for me... 😉 But in this individual case, I actually find the cover version even better than the original by Rammstein
Nice reaction, as usual 👍 My goto-song from Nina Hagen will always be "Zarah (Ich weiß, es wird einmal ein Wunder gescheh'n). A 1942 song, sung by swedish actress/singer Zarah Leander put in a mixer with synths, scratch, rapp...and in the end opera style finale (at 03:55). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mFtIhGbTdbU.html Since you got the lyrics line "am Ende bleibe ich doch alleine", that appears on a mourning ribbon in the Rammstein video to Haifisch, next to "Seine Worte frisst der Wind" (from the song "Nebel"), "Mein Herz brennt" und "Ich werde in die Tannen gehen" (Ohne Dich).
Great song by Rammstein. Great cover by Apocalyptica and Nina Hagen is amazing as usual. You mentioned not having seen many songs done with only cellos - you might find this AC/DC - cover interesting! Enjoy: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uT3SBzmDxGk.html
