If I were on the moon, I think all I would really want to do is look at Earth and just take it the fact that I’ve always looked up to where I am now and am now looking down to where I’ve always been.

He tells this story of him in his mid 30’s acting like a little boy in a completely new place, playing “moon olympics” and exploring everything Beacuse he knew no one had ever been there before ever… You can still hear it in his voice decades later

The original picture has a completely black sky; the sky in the picture is what the sky would have looked like to the astronauts' eyes if the sun had gone down, so it is a contradictory combination of two different situations.

They NEVER walked on the surface of the Moon, but rather on the surface of a TV set here on Earth. It pains me that all of the Apollo Astronauts were forced to live this huge LIE for the rest of their lives after returning from low-Earth orbit.
