Appolonia happened to be at Boogie's In The Valley, in Sad Diego, during the very height of the Purple Rain days and she danced with me like I was the famous one. She was so warm and personable. We had fun! I never acknowledged that I knew exactly who she was an it was never discussed. We just danced an enjoyed ourselves. I pray for nothing but the very best for her and her family and friends. God bless you, young lady.
@@kevindube7096 I worked in the entertainment business It was her. I can't speak for ANYONE else but there were no drugs,whatsoever. And I have never really had much interest is alcohol. Not EVERYONE did cocaine in the 1980's. BTW - I had the opportunity to meet several entertainers in Los Angeles and San Diego. Everybody is from somewhere. Never the "star struck" type of guy.
Beautiful soul. You can tell what type of person Prince was listening to her talk about current events. The people around reflex certain things about you. Prince was way more than he appeared to be.
I'm a huge Prince fan and I adore Apollonia. I'm so glad she did an interview with you. I really feel for her. Prince's life was tragically taken away. He had no idea the pills he bought were counterfeit and had fentanyl in them. He was just starting to try to get help. I hate that it was too late.🙏🏻💜
She lost Bill Paxton too. That dude was also her friend. I remember her making a video about it just walking around a movie set saying all her friends were gone. It's been rough ride for her and a lot of other people since 2016.
Man prayers to everybody suffering from depression, its not easy, nobody thinks its real, as a man you cant tell nobody, just gotta deal with it, theres no way out, just ways around it. But theres always something to live for. Stay solid.

It's even more strange Denise "Vanity" Matthews died only 2 months before Prince. Prince dedicated a song to her, upon news of her death. He also gave an anecdote (to the concert audience) about his time with Denise/"Vanity". Prince became VERY skinny (like Michael Jackson, before HIS death). Not regular Prince skinny, either. It's obvious he was in pain (as Sheila E. stated). Not only his hips. His knees....his feet....his spine...etc. He was dancing and walking in heels, for DECADES. Women know how painful that is. Now imagine constantly dancing in high heels, for decades. I think Prince used his final, "Piano and Microphone" tour, to hide the fact he was experiencing physical trouble; to perform a full show. Ola Ray had the same reaction, upon news of Michael's death (the footage was removed, in recent years). Even in the recent video of her walking in the "Thriller" locations....Ola broke down.
I remember him coming out from behind the stage for an awards program with a hood over his head. I said to myself, “He looks like a drug addict”. Extremely gaunt and his color was horrible. I just can’t imagine having people around him who enabled him. So sad.
The pain is unbearable. From the hips and from Prince's death. I had both of my hips replaced because of Avascular Necrosis. April 21, 2016: I'm listening to Raspberry Beret, my brother and I are texting about the song. Mom texts me: "DJ Prince died." Me: "GTFOH!" I turn to the news "Prince Rogers Nelson dead at 57." I cried the rest of that WHOLE day. Didn't know him, but, I feel like I did. He changed the way I play music forever. Lyrics. Guitar. Whatever. Rest In Peace, Prince. 🕊
I started to tear up about what she said about Prince’s Death, I was at the doctor’s office when I heard the News, I cried , I still see the photo of him in that elevator gone, it haunts me😔
Geez Vlad you could have said something comforting when she said, I have never told anyone this about how depressed she had gotten. Vlad just goes, so he died of a fentanyl overdose.
He's so self-centered it never dawned on this guy to offer his support. It feels bad to say that about another person but time and time again Vlad has dropped the ball in an insensitive way or worse -stirred up some public drama between people.
I remember Chris Rock talking about the last time he saw Prince. He said he felt vibe of the new people around him was off. Something didn't seem right. Edit: Purple Rain comes on my neighbors radio after typing my comment.

I'm always surprised by the public wondering why a person doesn't talk about someone until years later but the answer is simple. It's out of respect. Period. Apollonia was close to Prince & there was a mutual love for each other.
Prince said in his autobiography that his school teachers had a problem calling him Prince, so the teachers called him Skipper, none of his friends or girls called him Skipper. His friends called him P.
Be strong Apolonia be you you are a part of him and you are keeping his legacy going. We all will be called when it is are time you have things you have to do for him and yourself so keep rocking and rolling queen. As a fan when I think of the women in prince life #1 is Apolonia and vanity and the those talent white women in his band. Those other women don't even pop up in my head.
