I've come across many organisations/businesses in the recent years that host their Apps on pretty expensive and usually sophisticated On-Premises Servers. And the cost usually outweighs the benefits for Smaller Businesses.
What if, there was a way to get rid of those super expensive servers and still be able to run the Apps?
Yeah, we can host and run these Apps without actually managing the servers (on cloud, of course). It's called Platform as a Service.
Azure App Service is Platform as a Service solution to host, develop and deploy Apps from scratch.
I recently conducted a session explaining and demonstrating App Services in a simple way. Here I am, deploying a WordPress Site(Web App). Also, a small detour to explain SaaS (Software as a Service) around @23:15.
And its deployment takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Seriously.

from AZ 900 exam point of view ? how i have to decide that the given service will be a Paas OR a Saas ? becoz you metioned in video about end users (for end users its Saas but in which context it become Paas for other person ?) . i am litttle confused , what new i learned in this video is that App services are not related to VM's and they are not in any way connected with VM's. please share some doc learns links if possible , thank you!!!
