I was born and raised here in Scott County, Tennessee. I was once arrested for a DUI and I spent a few weekends in this jail. I was on the second floor. I wonder if my initials are still on cell. Thank you for this historic video. Growing up here compared to the world outside these mountains, was i guess a different kind of experience. We learned to survive, depending upon ourselves, not asking for governmental help. I am 66yrs old, and this was the safest place to be. Everyone knew everyone and would look out for each other's children. Scott County was once the Independent state of Scott. We annexed ourselves from the state of Tennessee during the Civil War. Please look into that part of our history. Governor Alexander formally accepted us back in the state.

@@paulbauswellsr3296 I remember reading about that And I’ve seen the movie they made about it. I grew up in a small town of Soddy Tennessee. Small town outside Chattanooga and in between Red Bank and Dayton. Great place to live then. Haven’t lived there since I was about 10 I’m 61 now live in Kentucky. Have family and ancestors in both places still. God bless.

I'm just south in Morgan Co. Now the majority of folks are a slave to a g'uv check. Nobody wants to work. And there is plenty. I build fence, log, landscape, carpentry, etc , etc. I have to turn a lot of work away because I am only one man.

@@joshuagibson2520 - Count yourself lucky to have the skills needed for plenty of jobs. Meanwhile don't look down on and disparage the vast majority of people at the mercy of systemic class warfare where they never had much chance from the day they were born. Most people DO want to work; however, that's no excuse for predatory employers taking advantage of their lesser power in myriad ways to ride roughshod over them. After my divorce and having worked to help my ex finish college, then sticking by him as a military officer's wife back when it was very much frowned upon for wives to work outside the home, I was thrown on my own. Dressed and behaved like a nun but I only had one boss who didn't think I also owed him a roll in the hay. That may be fine with most of you men, but I'm telling you there has to be one of the hottest spots in hell for such monsters. I damn near had to end one of them to stop him. So I got fired more than Sally Jesse Rafael. Don't ever say "People don't want to work" around decent people again; bc if you do and they agree or fail to dispute that, it's likely only bc you're an overbearing arse they're afraid to confront. I'm not. And yes, I talk to anyone this way face to face irl too. As a matter of fact, I've cussed out 3 of the 4 preachers in TinyTown where I retired. The only reason the 4th one escaped was bc he outran me.

Scott county is just one county over from me. I've lived in these mountains all my life and I'll say this. In the case of violent murderers of innocent people and ANYONE That's harmed a child or old person , I'm still 💯 in favor of mountain justice, and that's coming from the wife of a retired law man of 30 + years. Our courts have become too soft on crime and the criminals seem to have more protection than the citizens.

Honestly the Scott County Jail museum is an amazing place. They run an escape room and allow guided as well as unguided paranormal investigations there/ghost hunting. Not many places like that openly advertise that stuff so that's really neat and a pretty smart way to keep the cash flowing and museum open for future generations.

✅️THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the Salvation of the last day that Christ brought in the second and last incarnation of the His new and holy name" (Behavior that cannot fully obey Me is betrayal. Behavior that cannot be loyal to Me is betrayal. Having many understandings and spreading them everywhere is betrayal. The inability to affirm My testimonies and interests is betrayal. These are all acts of betrayal that you have always been able to do, and they are common to you as well. None of you may think this is a problem, but I don't think so. You think that some act of treachery is only an occasional occurrence, not your characteristic behavior, and should not be discussed so seriously, in a way that damages your pride. To think like this is to be an example and example of rebellion. Man's nature is his life; it was a principle on which he depended to stay alive, and he could not change it. This is also the nature of betrayal---if you can do something to betray a relative or friend, it proves that it is part of your life and you were born with this nature. For example, if a person enjoys stealing from others, this "joy of stealing" is part of their life, although they may steal sometimes and not steal sometimes. Whether they steal or not, it cannot prove that their stealing is just a form of behavior. Rather, it proves that their thieving is a part of their life--that is, their nature. This is why I say that the source of this thought is not something that just breaks out from time to time, but is in this person's own nature.) Almighty God said BEHAVIOR that CANNOT FULLY OBEY Me is BETRAYAL. BEHAVIOR that CANNOT be FAITHFUL to Me is BETRAYAL. CHEATING on Me and USING LIES to DECEIVE Me is BETRAYAL. HAVING MANY UNDERSTANDINGS and SPREADING them EVERYWHERE is TREASON. The INABILITY to AFFIRM My TESTIMONIES and INTERESTS is BETRAYAL. OFFERING FALSE SMILES when the HEART is FAR from Me is BETRAYAL. These are ALL ACTS of BETRAYAL that YOU have ALWAYS been ABLE to DO, and they are COMMON to you as well. ☀️🙏 NONE of YOU may THINK this is a PROBLEM, BUT I DON'T THINK SO. I CANNOT TREAT SOMEONE'S BETRAYAL of Me as a SMALL MATTER, and I ESPECIALLY cannot ignore it. 🛑 Now, when I work among you, you act in this way---if the day comes when no one is there to watch over you, will you not be like bandits who have declared themselves kings? When that happens and you cause a major disaster, who will be there to fix the problem? You THINK that some ACT of TREACHERY is ONLY an OCCASIONAL OCCURRENCE, NOT your CHARACTERISTIC BEHAVIOR, and should NOT be DISCUSSED so SERIOUSLY, in a way that DAMAGES your PRIDE. If you really think like this, you lack common sense. To think like this is to be an example and example of rebellion. MAN'S NATURE is his LIFE; it is a PRINCIPLE on which he DEPENDS to STAY ALIVE, and he CANNOT CHANGE it. THIS is ALSO the NATURE of BETRAYAL--if YOU CAN DO SOMETHING to BETRAY a RELATIVE or FRIEND, it PROVES that it is a PART of your LIFE and you were BORN with THIS NATURE. 🛑 😪 THIS is SOMETHING that CANNOT be DENIED to ANYONE. For EXAMPLE, if a PERSON ENJOYS STEALING from OTHERS, this "pleasure to steal" is PART of THEIR LIFE, although they may steal sometimes and not steal sometimes. WHETHER they STEAL or NOT, it CANNOT PROVE that their STEALING is JUST a FORM of BEHAVIOR. Rather, it PROVES that their THIEVING is a PART of THEIR LIFE--that is, their NATURE. 🛑 Some people will ask: Since this is their nature, then why, when they see beautiful things, don't they sometimes steal them? The answer is very simple. There are many reasons why they don't steal. They may not steal something because it is too big to snatch from watchful eyes, or because there is no suitable time to act, or something is too expensive, too closely guarded, or maybe they are not particularly interested here, or notthey see how it will be of use to them, and so on. All of these reasons are possible. But anyway, whether they steal something or not, it cannot prove that this thought only exists as a fleeting and fleeting moment. On the contrary, it is a part of their nature that is difficult to change for the better. Such a person is not satisfied with stealing only once; such attitudes to claim other people's possessions as their own are formed whenever they encounter something beautiful, or a suitable situation. ☀️ This is the REASON WHY I SAY that the SOURCE of this THOUGHT is NOT a THING that just CUT off SOMETIMES, but is in this PERSON'S own NATURE. 🙏 From The WORD, Vol. I. The Manifestation and Work of God. A Very Serious Problem: Infidelity 1 📩 All who have "ears to listen" are led to what the Spirit of God is saying in His lowered and built kingdom/Church engraved with His new name, His totality, the ownership of this disposition, "THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD "💐 fulfillment from what was said He to Peter 2,000 years ago recorded in (Matthew 16:18-19). His Coming is the fulfillment of all that was prophesied in the great book of Revelation, so the last "Salvation" He brought the whole truth, the way for eternal life. So the "victorious" ones who will receive them are the wise "virgins" because as recorded in the prophecy of His return no one knows it except the one who will receive it! So "come" and come to His kingdom/church standing in the holy place in the air/RU-vid! This is also a fulfillment from the book of (Isaiah 2:2/9:6) which He first fulfilled in His first incarnation. 📥 "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... and (Isaiah 2: 2 / 9:6) "On the Last Day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All nations will flock there. " . The building is much, much older than 1904. Even in the one 'construction' picture it already looks ancient. Appalachia is as old as the hills. It was once ocean front. Its riddled with ancient stone construction that only the respective land owners have seen. What a special place, and a special people ❤ Great video brother.

My family is from here. I lived here from birth to 19. I’ve lived elsewhere since then; I’m currently 39 and living in MI. But, this place is legit like the Wild West. Fighting, violence, drugs, clan-like mentalities, dislike for outsiders (a very sort of Scottish clan-like mentality in other words). Rough people, rough environment , rough living a lot of the time. Of course, there’s much good there as well. Some incredible people! Beautiful scenery, vibrant sports community/atmosphere. Also, it was briefly called the “Independent State of Scott” as it seceded from TN and the Confederacy to join the Union. And I may have spent a few nights in the fine establishment featured in this video.

" . "For a baby boy is born to us. The rule will be given to him; and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." 💌
