5:59 The keyboard brightness (KB) function can easily be added to Control Center (CC). Just go to CC in Settings, scroll down to More Controls, and add the KB function to Included Controls. IMO, it’s not much of an inconvenience to access KB via CC.
Some nice tips and tricks I wasn’t aware of it. Thanks for sorting it out. I guess I will check later again, as there are many of them and I haven’t remembered them all…
Hello Eddie! Thank you for what I would call the defacto keyboard features & tricks video! I always learn something when I watch your videos! And at my age, sometimes I re-learn them! 😅 I often use Command + L in Safari to type in a URL as it would highlight the current url in the current tab and allow you to type in a new one. I find it often handy as I would Command + to open a new tab and if the URL field is not active, Command + L will activate it and either allow you to type in a new URL or completely highlight the existing URL and allow you to type over it and enter a completely new website. Cheers! 🥂
There is an easier way to change your keyboard brightness. You can add it to control center and now you can change your keyboard brightness from any app.
I think that the new Logitech keyboard is far better, of me at least. Why? Well, easy to separate the iPad from the keyboard to use the camera and use the pencil.
I also take the tablet off and put the bottom just below the keys and pull the back forward to adjust the tilt which creates a nice little stand in bed.
Hi. How do I enable emojis for comments on Instagram messaging? My globe key will not enable emojis. If I were to take the iPad off the magic keyboard, I can get access to emojis but I don’t want to keep removing my iPad to get an emoji. In Settings General, Keyboard has emojis in green “on”. Thank you!
Great video. I learned a lot. When I press and hold the cmd key I don’t get that list of the keyboard shortcuts available for the app. Sometimes a list appears for a fraction of a second but alas quickly disappears while still holding the key..😢 any suggestions on how to fix?
I need some help with my magic keyboard. I found the setting where I could slide the brightness of the keyboard up or down, but if I'm in an environment that's even slightly bright, it wont't let me turn it up, it won't let me move the slider. I restarted my ipad, reconnected to the magic keyboard but still doesn't work. Have anyone else encounter this issue? Do you know how to fix this? I have the M4 ipad and the latest magic keyboard.
My mother-in-law is 97 and has had an iPad for the past 15 years. She also has an iPhone but just for phone calls. She uses the iPad throughout the day, texting, google searches, email, movies, youtube, etc.
I'm not quite 80 (77) and ordered a new iPad Pro to go along with my iPhone 15 Pro. I usually upgrade my iPad's every 2 to 3 years and my iPhone yearly. I have been a Apple Fan Boy since 1987, so you can tell I'm hooked or addicted to Apple/Mac products.
Well, my mother in law had both an iPhone and iPad (non pro version); my uncle is 85 and he has an iPhone, iPad AND a MacBook Air. And he uses them all. Frankly, considering your writing, they probably get more from their smart devices than you do.
