Apple knew exactly what they were doing choosing to go with a metal card. It used to be a status symbol if you had one of the American Express black cards that were metal. They were out of reach for 99% of consumers so this is an obvious nod to that.

Everywhere has Apple Pay basically. 2% on everything is honestly really good for no annual fee card. And the UI is the best out there. Great card for daily spending!

With some of the fine print I read, I think they’re biased if you’re a constant buyer/subscriber on your apple account, hence all the data they push. Idk, just my theory.

Citi cash back is weird about it though, they make you wait a month I’ve heard. Apple gives DAILY cash back

Not entirely accurate anymore because the card’s benefits changed slightly and it’s no longer easy to get it.

The main benefit is that it allows you to get an Apple Savings account. Those dividends are $$$$$

I was told to never use more than 30 percent of your credit limit. If you pay in full how then will you establish credit ?🤔

You’re establishing credit just by having the card even if it’s never used. It shows that you’ve had credit extended to you for however long you’ve had the card and that you didn’t max out the card, pay late, or default on it. If you pay in full, it shows that you used the card and paid it as agreed, which means you pay your bills so therefore you’re a good credit risk.

That’s not how building credit works. You don’t need to carry a balance each month. In fact, doing so actually hurts your credit score. Because your debt to credit ratio is weaker.

Would you say this is a good card for someone who just recovered from a bankruptcy after 2-3 years ? Or what do you think is best looking to only pay off every month I been living debit for over 8 years haha

There’s other cards out there that have better returns in cash back and are beginner friendly like the citi double cash

@@snowbank8875 I think I had around a 670 when I applied and was denied, most likely because I had around a 8 month credit history, so maybe be careful about if applying if your credit history isn’t older than a year or two

This is a horrible credit card unless u pay everything with Apple Pay. Their are a few CC that offer 2% cash back on everything so why would u get this? Play the game and have a few cards and u can 3 to 4% back on everything.

The reason people get this card is cardholder prestige, not because it’s a great card.
