"you need good to excellent credit to be approved" Goldman Sachs says otherwise. Subprime borrowers (credit score in the 500's) were being approved for the Apple card, but with lower lines and higher APRs.
My Apple Card was shipped 2 Day UPS. But it was several days from being in my wallet, to actually getting shipped. I think it was about a week overall. The one day must be for people reviewing the Apple Card.
At 2:41 this is likely a screenshot of one of the subprime borrowers got approved for. But it could either be a way to build credit, or it could land you in serious debt.
I had 5 animals get sick and my score went from 700 to 568. I applied because my friend (who had a 760 credit score) got denied and I did it just for a quick laugh if I got approved, and I actually did LOL
I have had this card for a few weeks now I have bought a cell a apple watch and a mac no problems so far very happy with it accept it wont let me pay off one item like my cell i have to pay the entire monthly payment
Where do you keep your card in your wallet? I heard that a lot of things can ruin/scratch/discolor the Apple Card. I'm currently just keeping it in its original packaging and not bringing it with me everywhere
I have fair credit and got approved for 2500 with the lowest interest fee they have so what do you mean you need good or excellent credit to get approved lol
To be completely honest.. and I’m just saying this out of complete idiotic thought but.... When done applying for the card and physically receiving it- fuckin straight cancel it, shut it down- remove it and just own an engraved Apple Card 🤷♂️ - tbh debit cards are superior; imo This is me just idiotically spit balling^
@@TheEpicDiamondMiner It's the other way around. 1. Apple Cards are being used to encourage customers to buy Apple products they cannot afford. 2. Credit cards aren't something you simply switch between, like smart phones. It's a dangerous habit to get into. Apple knows this and is simply locking you further into their ecosystem. Now leaving Apple devices, means a useless Apple Card, and switching again, would give you an even worse credit rating.
Received mine promptly after quick approval. Activation was a breeze as was setting up a payment link to my checking account. Used it a few times, mostly for iTunes purchases. Got my cash back easily. No issues whatsoever. Love it.
I love my Apple Card and have since the day it went out for beta. Have yet to encounter an issue and love the clarity with payments, transactions, and cashback. Best part yet is the extremely low APR as I got 12.99% compared to my Discovers outrageous APR. Although its not a great credit card and I won't stay with it forever, for now, it is decent enough to satisfy my needs.
Enmity the Kindhearted In Britain, using a credit card provides customer protection too. People should get zero interest credit cards if they are paying off debt which means Apple Card is not suitable for these people
The HARD INQUIRY steals a couple of points from your credit score initially. HOWEVER, if your available credit increases (and it will), that will help boost your score over time. All I need for Apple to do is offer better travel points than Capital One Venture. I like that there's no international fees. Since I pay back immediately, I'm happy there are no late fees. What makes no sense is limiting cash back to 1% when the physical card is used. It's also weird there is no over limit fee. My limit is $10,000. So what you're saying is I can charge $12,000? I absolutely like how you can do a chat message with the specialists without having to call them. That's pretty awesome.
Had the same issue in the first couple of days. Called in and had to confirm my identity by providing old information, such as old cell phone number and an old address. Card was activated right away
@@xo_octavia it is free to apply and the chance for approval is very likely . Loved the fact you could get 3% cash back thru a merchant such: T-Mobile, Walgreen and others too.
MarZ ----- Lemme see, which one is Xiaomi? Are they the ones that get Google's OS, slap it on a phone with Qualcomm or Mediatek processors, and skin it with Mi UI? Then they do Union Pay in China with 1.3 billion people and called it Mi Pay. In India with 1.2 billion people they used ICICI and called it (wait for it) Mi Pay. And then they called it a day, really innovative, like every other Android OEM. Based on the countries they're targeting something tells me that 10 million Greeks are WAY down the list. By the way, Xiaomi did do something really innovative. They dressed up their CEO in an outfit like Steve Jobs used to wear. He must be the second coming of Steve.
Apple card is not for everyone, not even if you have an excellent credit score. I my self am only 24 points from max Fico score and still got the card with a 17.99 APR. For me it's nothing more than the pleasure of having a titanium card, not a necessity.
My biggest letdown about the Apple Card is that it doesn’t have a web portal for account to connect with financial budgeting sites like Quicken, YouNeedABudget, and Mint. Also, why are you manually entering transactions in a spreadsheet? There are other services that can do that for you.
They are not called Goldman Sucks for no reason; not the least of which they helped create/perpetuate GFC1! Your débâcle solidified my decision to let this turkey pass ...
I stopped using mine after a day. It’s really just an after thought. It’s most useful feature is that it keeps my wallet felling sturdy along with all of my other cards.
Great video. Interesting point about not being able to pay your bill without your iPhone. Not a fan of this card. I would stick with a regular credit card.
What if apple made apple's? Introducing the iApple We have engineered a revolutionary taste with a amazingly gorgeous full 4 by 3 inch skin and use premium materials like... a p p l e.
i don't think samsung will ever make a card, they have samsung pay on their phones with NFC and MTSF something like that, unbox theory just did a video on that.
They pulled that same BS on me with Apple Cash. After changing my bank my account was restricted and after calling those idiots said they’d call. I never received a call.
Having a restricted account is scary and incredibly annoying. It’s a reason why I am grateful for the CFPB. I hate how with the anti-laundering measures, you’re essentially guilty until proven innocent.
I mean I look at it like this pay your bills!!!!!! It can be a loan, credit card or whatever just pay your bills!!! And stop living above your means! Us people’s need to stop going over our pay checks or trying to keep up with others at the end of the day any credit card you deal with you always want to keep a low balance, pay in full on time every month, also the money you was going to use to splurge just put it to the side to pay the credit card bill. That’s how i do my credit cards I just put the money I was going to use and put in the envelope and mark my credit card name , monthly payment , and date which I always pay way before the date. Same way if you get this card here I mean I won’t be using it like that only on nik nak things and I’ll just pay the balance off in full and save it in a safe place until I decide to use it again. It’s not that bad y’all it’s all about managing and if we don’t know how to mange we need to leave the credit cards, loans and any others that’s out there alone!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s that simple if you want a1 credit or just good lil credit just simply pay your bills and don’t go over your check🤣
wow it seems that they block u from using the damn card too much thats fucking stupid dude ill stick to standard cards and im safer cause they wont block the card that fast so yea these digital wallets arent worth the hassle
Credit cards aren't something you should simply switch between, like smart phones. It's a dangerous habit to get into. Apple knows this and is simply locking you further into their ecosystem. Now leaving Apple devices in the future, means a useless Apple Card, and switching again would give you an even worse credit rating.
2:36 Is that a Casey Neistat Reference? His first credit card had a limit of $250 and bought a Macintosh or iBook, I forgot, but still it might be a reference.
Being able to text a support specialist was a huge convenience? Hmmmm... I don't see how after 3 days of the initial contact you still had no resolution of your issue, had to text them the again to find out they had clue what you were talking about, and then still had to make a phone call to find out your "under investigation" is a huge convenience.
Wow. I feel like this video, the editing, your tone of voice, really set in stone how you still to this day produce videos. For a moment, I was beginning to think this was a newer video. It's been interesting to see how you developed in making videos.
I don't have a credit history because I never had a credit card or anything, should I get an apple card? I don't really care about the rewards things on other cards I just want something convenient and easy to use.
It's completely up to you. As your first credit card, I suggest that you should get one from a bank (Chase, Bank of America, Discover, etc.) Almost all have a bonus when you are a first time customer. Do your research first before applying for one. That way you can start building your credit. Make sure that you're responsible enough to pay your monthly balances so you won't have to pay any interest or late payment fees. After that, you can apply for the Apple card for those cash backs. I use my Chase Freedom credit card to pay for things that doesn't support Apple pay because I get 1.5% cash back from it. I don't really use the physical card at all. I just got it just to have it. I actually plan on using it for international trips since there's no foreign transaction fees at all. I hope this can help you make the decision whether to get it or not (yet)
elias_m47 I started off with capital one to build I have two with capital one and I just keep a low balance and use the money I was going to use and put it towards the card to pay the balance off every month on time. I have a limit of 500 and one with 1000 and I stay below 30% I spend about 25 to 30 on the 500$ one and 150 on the 1000 every month and as long as you do that your point on your credit shoots up over 40 points and I always pay the full amount. I also applied for the Apple Card and I was approved for 2500 which I won’t use it unless it’s lil nik nak stuff I’ll buy like on iTunes , App Store and other lil items that’s not two expensive dealing with Apple and I’ll also pay it in full when I do go to use the Apple Card and as long as you don’t go above your means, stay at a low balance plus pay in full I promise u u working your way up to A1 credit
