So I guess I’m a bit odd because I only use Bluetooth for my phone to make and answer calls, talk to text and listen to music. The only time I use CarPlay is if I need directions.
Bluetooth does not encourage full hands free driving. My car when Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is connected has buttons on the steering wheel for pausing, and skipping music tracks and allows for voice commands. This means I don't get distracted with the screen too much and keep my hands on the wheel and road!
No choosing Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for me. Believe or not I don't use my cellphone in the car. It is off and put away when driving. I use my Magellan GPS for directions if needed, which is a rare occurrence. 😁
@@carsunlocked But even never having my phone on didn't save me one fateful day. On my way to work several years ago the police pulled me over and gave me a 300.00 ticket for using my cellphone while driving. I was never so dumbfounded in my life. People at work knew I was falsely accused because even they knew I never used my cell phone while driving. I proved my case very easily in court with my cell phone records, but just the hassle of having to go through all that left a very bad taste in my mouth. It's only a matter of time before something unfair like that happens again.
