Mr. Cook, thank you. Really like to listen to .. He is right about iPad. This was 5 years and the company is doing great. Lot of competition but Apple is not alone. Thank you.
Feels like an Apple commercial. Cramer fawns over Tim and asks no tuff questions. Apple is so innovative. Right. The commentary is as fake as the fake customers in the background.
Health is a big opportunity. I'm beginning to see a new doctor and they sent me a six page paper form to fill out and mail back to them. if Apple solves that, securely, the upside for Apple is huge.
"Full of innovation." Same phone for years with only incremental changes. "Longest Battery life." Until they change the software to slow down the phone to get customers to upgrade to new phone lineup.
Well, to be fair, I think people hold apple to a higher standard when they look at new ‘innovations.’ I can think of many new innovations introduced via their phones, Touch ID, Face iD (many cool and useful capabilities with face id), Siri, the power increase per iPhone is pretty extraordinary, 3D touch, and very significant camera improvements. Now, could you tell me what was so ‘innovative’ then about Samsung’s Galaxy s9 from the galaxy s8? If these improvements are too ‘incremental’ for you. I think the interviewer said it best, “What do people want? Time travel?”. Now, regarding your battery comment, all batteries die with time. If you don’t want apple to compromise the software performance, then your phone will likely shut down with say 20% left. Imagine if you were in an important call for work and your phone suddenly dies. I’d much rather have slightly slower (barely noticeable) software, then to have my phone cut out. I think Apple was fairly transparent with that.
Spencer G Well, it is not too hard to understand that chips on these older iPhones are incapable of running more advanced software is it? If that’s too hard to understand that an iPhone 4s chip would have trouble running iOS 12, then you are seriously lost. Now, would you like to answer my question (since you want to criticise). If Apple only comes up with ‘incremental’ upgrades (say from iPhone 7 to iPhone X), could you please tell me some of the more ‘significant’ upgrades made from Samsung’s direct generational competitor, the Samsung Galaxy s8 to s9?? Please, enlighten me.
Spencer G So you think software upgrades are made purely to ‘sell’ new iPhones? You are seriously, seriously misinformed, and quite honestly come off as a moron. If you enjoy your Samsung (which might even have software from 2013, lol), please by all means. But keep your (misinformed) opinions to yourself. Thanks.
@@XwD77 I have many iOS devices. They do that to all their products. Thet shouldnt do auto updates without disclaiming these effects to battery life. Have you had a device shut down when you are doing something important? Apple is just greedy pigs, look at their pricing.
I've had a great experience with iPhones and Apple watch. I used to use Android and I still use Android for some applications but the overall user experience is smoother with Apple. The hardware is good enough but the software is great. I just mailed in my iPhone 6s Plus and SE to get the batteries replaced from Apple and I'll be getting them back in a few days and had a good experience with their Customer Service. These older phones will still be put to use for many more years. I currently use the iPhone XS Max and its a really smooth smartphone. I was really skeptical of Apple products especially considering their price. But now that I've actually tried their phones and watch, I must admit, they are really great. I've heard of the accusations against Apple but my personal experience with them has been smooth.
8:15 XR wasn't a flop. I am a XS Max user but yet people say to me I don't need XS Max, rather I'm very satisfied with the battery life and user experience of XR
*hate Apple or love Apple, I really don’t get why it commands the multiple it does. Assume that iPhone sales (84 billion or so this quarter) go to zero next quarter. Apple spends more on r&d then most speculative tech stocks make in a year. These companies are trading at ridiculous evaluations. Apple could buy Netflix in a second- it trades at nearly 100 times. But Apple continues to trade at 11? How does that make any sense. Blizzard world we live in.*
He described google photos as a feature that Iphone as a phone does! Honestly, Tim Cook you should prepare more for these interviews even if you know Jim Cramer wont put you on the hot seat!
i was at a pro photographer's office yesterday, and he was showing me on big screens and prints that even a 300$ camera takes better pictures than the best smartphones! of course good light(day light) pictures excluded as, (his words not mine) everything and everybody takes great pictures in good light!
focusing on private and important services like health is a great move, Apple is the only tech company who can be trusted in this area, given how much they care about privacy
When comes to China, he begin to talk abt the macro-economy, trade war....that is bullshit... I have too many friends in China and Singapore replaced their Iphone to other brands, and most of them have decent jobs & have no financial problems. The reasons are simple rather than complex: 1. Apple now charge too much 2. Some Android phones in market now are very good, sometimes better, for instance camera, screen, battery etc. , but only cost 1/2 as apple. 3. The local brands are very local customised as they know the customer better.
Steve would have ended this interview with two liners: Jim, in a year’s time market will truly recognise Apple for being a customer-oriented company. I’ll see you then.
This is cover up, number manipulations at its best. Mr. Cook is trying to save his job. His first statements about how his business is growing have been debunked by Dan Niles. Their actual growth rate is anemic and had a major contraction this year in services and physical product sales. Still in his first statement Mr Cook continues the sales pitch with now outright lies about his "teams dedication to innovations." This undoubtedly is the most laughable idea at this point. Apple has been last to every new market idea in the last 3 years. Nothing is more of an example of poor innovation than Apple's version of a smart speaker. Hands down the worst speaker on the market and when they tried to give it away nobody would buy it. Siri has already lost that space to Alexa and virtually every other speaker maker out there. So much for intergration of your products when nobody buys them. Still further in his first statement, he references the "eco-system that we built..." as an on going revenue generator. Once again Mr Cook is out of touch, unaware, or poorly informed that the Apple ecosystem is about to crumble upon the SCOTUS ruling, and the growing flight of companies, like Netflix, from their pay for sevice platform. Mr Cook, needs to step aside and allow a more nimble minded executive to step into the role of CEO. Mr Coom is the Steve Ballmer of Apple. Nothing proves this more than when he is asked about what be sees as a path forward for the company and Mr Cook's response is summed up as 'More of the same thing!' I wouldn't touch this stock unless it hit $100 or less. Too much price manipulations going on with poorly timed buy backs, number fudging of growth rates, and reduced transparency of products sales.
Well if qualcom charge high prices and they are the best because you want your customers to have the best then what is the the problem. You want to charge high prices but suppliers are not allowed to
I’m tired of hearing his taglines... it was cool when Steve Jobs said it because he knew what he was talking about, and speaking of customer satisfaction, for me personally the cost to value ratio for me for Apple products has gone down dramatically since 2015.
4:04 The transactions are not on the phone. They’re right there into the hands of banks and governments, with complete details of the parties involved and complete control over their funds and is also much more susceptible to external attacks. That’s exactly why you care about privacy. Nobody with your Bitcoin address can do any harm to you by looking at how much of it you have in your account. They don’t know where you’re spending it (not as readily as banking data). If you care more about it, you also have privacy coins that mix your transactions and make it next to impossible to trace. You don’t want your data in the wrong hands and that’s exactly the opposite of what you get with banking system. PS: you could just move your funds to multiple new addresses and they won’t be able to tell whether you spent it or simply moved it to other address owned by you.
Apple accuses Qualcomm of unfair charges on using its chipsets and went with Intel. Aren't consumers making same choice now when they are ditching iPhones because of cost and innovation?
You say you listen and I don’t doubt that but we are all here expressing our feelings, literally telling you what we want.... Yes a phone that cost more than normal but not 2/3 of rent You have single slim slot with no expandable storage Add a USB C port We act like we act today cuz we realize your games, you add on features and call it new game changer and slap and extra 200 You had the iPad mini 1 low specs Then Released iPad mini 2 that’s was way better but you already had such technology at the same time as the iPad mini 1 You try and make it seem cheap by this 30 dollars or more a month but hey people have other bills like living paycheck to paycheck You see and push how much one will pay And yes the high prices make up for the other phones not bought But you leave loyal customers asking what about me I can’t afford that but would love to buy it but can’t I would love to buy your new iPhones but you trust in us to be the die hard fans like crazy loyal fans that would drop any amount off money But that’s not the case now we see what the end game is
I love Apple, but Samsung builds innovation Apple uses three to five years after its been mass marketed by Samsung and Samsung doesn’t charge an Arm and a Leg for their devices.
When he starts trying to sell sooo hard, its obvious they're doing horribly and he's coming off very desperate... Trying to stuff napkins in a giant hole in a sinking ship
He reminds me of Trump trying to convince his base or loyal customers that there was no collusion, no collusion. I love Cramer's Walmart question @ 15:18. Cook looks like he is smelling stinky cheese.
I'm sorry apple lost it innovation since steve job die and when apple bought BEAT LMAO. You could come up apple earpod or an headphone similar that could compete with beats. You can beat then buy them LMAO
1. It’s much harder to innovative the longer the maturity of a product, that’s just the nature of eveyr product. 2. Lets break it down then, could you tell me what was so much more innovative about iPhone - iPhone 4? Then iPhone 5s - Xs?? We’ll leave 4s and 5 out because those had Jobs’ influence in them. But please, tell me what was so much more innovative than Touch ID, Face ID, 3D touch, incredibly powerful Apple chips, and very strong apple cameras, and their recent edge-to-edge OLED displays. Please, enlighten me. As far as your ‘Beats’ comment goes, I have no idea what you’re trying to say, lol.
Dung Ho Why are you getting so personal and aggressive for? YES I know the beats headphones, but what about them?? The sentence you wrote makes NO sense. Maybe your english is bad, lol.
Dung Ho Yes, I know touch id, face id, 3D touch have been out for some time, but those are ‘innovations’ under Tim Cook. Wtf?? You’re the one that said innovation has died since Steve, and so my question was tell me some features under Steve that were so much more innovative then face id, touch id etc. It has NOTHING to do with the fact that they’ve been out for 3 years WTF. You are seriously slow, man.
@@XwD77 He create the iphone your stupid ass lol. Tim did made any innovation but his team or his follower did that for him. Steve job and Steve Woziak create the Iphone. Tim Cook is a good CEO For replacement lol. Is he the driver or the rider LMAO. Is he Jeff from amazon, Mark from Facebook, Ellon From tesla. When you say investing you Warren Buffet. And Bill Gate. When you say apple people think Steve Job lmao where Tim Cook lol
He starts talking about innovation and this is where apple has fell behind since the death of jobs so he needs to look at what samsung and Huawei are releasing as they have been copying them for years and copying isnt innovating. Also his bs about the apple watch as being life changing is ridiculous. He should say its sales have been poor and it's the worst smart watch having to be connected to a 1000 phone to use. Bunch of lies and half truths and nothing that the better phones xant do cheaper with better services. Sorry cook. You gotta go, deflecting isnt going to address the hard declines of stock and lack of innovation for years and lastly charging 3 times for comparable hardware. Cant blame trump for your mistakes and lead from behind approach.
Interesting. Could you tell me what exactly Apple has copied from Huawei and Samsung?? Interestingly, in many cases said features work exponentially better when Apple does it, than when Samsung (or Huawei) does it. If you truly, truly think Apple could not ‘think’ of ideas such as Facial Recognition, or wireless charging before Samsung, then you are misinformed. It’s just that they prefer to wait until their facial recognition, for example, works incredibly well, which is the case. I remember Samsung had some sort of facial recognition (or iris whatever), and people would praise Samsung for having facial recognition before apple. But if you actually tried said facial recognition on Samsung phones, they were absolute garbarge.
@@XwD77 come on now, the larger screens, curved screens, voice search, better cameras, chips, software flexibility that doesnt lock you into some overpriced structures when the competition offers more for less. Why would you pay thousands more for an apple computer when a much better more powerful version can cost less and has better software capabilities. Either you drank the apple kool aid or your ignoring the truth. Apple is a luxury brand that doesnt match the quality of lower priced competitors so it's in a fast decline.
apples iphones are overpriced counter intuitive devices that used to be revolutionary but now they have been left in the dust for the average consumer by android for example, a much better platform for the average joe that consist of 85 percent of the market, and people knows it by now, if you need "brand loyalty" its clear you are doing something very wrong.
You just lost the 3 thing that make you apple. Lost Innovation, lead to not customer not satisfy, and loyalty is dead in america. LMAO You never heard that before. You lost all 3.
