I hope 2018 is the year in which “The DetroitBorg” is going to get the praise and attention he( or the channel) deserves. He is one of the (if not, the most) underrated RU-vidrs. I don’t understand why people can’t appreciate these kind of detailed, crisp and painstakingly crafted beautiful videos. However many reviews of iMac Pro may come, but i always wait for the “The DetroitBorg” treatment as it’s unlike any other reviewers in the RU-vid community. All the best Mike!

Is it *fully compatible in color gamut* for 16 bit RGB images on the 10-bit RGB iMac Pro 5k screen (30 bits)? Is there 16-bit RGB computer monitor (48 bits) out there so that fully compatible with 16-bit RGB images in color gamut? As computers, TV, mobile devices, and printers are getting more advances, consumers & professionals are demanding their full comparabilities with each other such as *higher frame rates, refresh rates, higher bits RGB, so on for the best screen to display the best images.* For an example, when you watch high quality 16-bit RGB images on the 8-bit RGB computer screen (24 bits), the images do look good, but do not look the best.

Hi Mike, basically what I understand from you video is that if i want a Imac to edit medium format photos in lightroom and photoshop and edit some basic 4k videos in final cut with effects and such on, the iMac Pro would be overkill and I would be better of just buying a maxed out iMac?

Great video! Iv been a fan for years, glad to see your still making videos(: TBH I thought the iMac pros storage would of been faster since it starts off at $5000.00 but as long as people are happy with it the drive speed dont matter too much.

I'm honestly not that surprised they made an iMac Pro. Before it came out, the 27" Retina iMac was really popular with professionals and power users, with really fast quad-core processors, user-replaceable RAM, powerful dedicated graphics cards and such. I guess it was selling better than the cylinder-shaped Mac Pro in the professional market, so Apple decided to take advantage of that with the iMac Pro.
