I think the people that work at the Genius Bar deserve an Emmy or Golden Globe because it has to be the performance of their lives, every day. I couldn’t handle it.
Great video and very informative! Also congratulations on the pastor position man! I’m sure God will use you for many wonderful things throughout your ministry if he hasn’t already! “But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.” -Titus 2:1
Amazing and informative video! Short and too the point! Thank you for also sharing the good and the bad, really puts things into perspective! I’ve always wanted to work at Apple, it’s always been my dream of mine! In late December of 2019 I’ve met this nice couple that goes to my church and the husband works at Apple. I wanted to to ask the gentleman if there’s any advice for applying , but I was too shy. And as 2020 was approaching the world shut down and I lost contact with them, not only that but managing and trying to stay safe. Then around January 2022, the company that i worked for ; Walgreens, fired my coworkers and I basically to get rid of us. I’ve been struggling looking for other jobs and trying to start fresh every since. I then started going back to my church, and started talking with the couple every Sunday . Fast forward to last week, I’ve finally built up the courage to ask the gentleman for any tips on applying to Apple. The gentleman was so nice and took it a step further and said, “oh here, here’s my number, personal email and work email, send me your resume”. I couldn’t believe it, I was so excited and happy, all it took was for me to finally ask. And I feel so happy, through every struggle, feeling of depressed, and bad mental health: that God brought me to this point into my life, where my dream is about to become a reality!!!
What a great video, thank you! I'm so happy that you got the other dream job you wanted! I just got hired to work at my local Apple Store and I'm sooo excited!! I might be one of their oldest new hirers, LOL, but good for Apple!! 😃
Clearwater? Working in church? Worked for Apple? Man! I wish to live in Florida! I love Clearwater! Opal and I have a lot of favorite restaurants! I volunteer in church with multiple stuff ( music and tech!) And I'm watching your video because I'm applying with Apple !
We can definitely talk about our discount. That is a big influencer on our experience, and is protected by labor laws. It is a significant part of our compensation package. I just choose not to share, nothing wrong with that for sure. :)
I know this is probably too late to ask since this video was posted 4 years ago, but I’m having an interview for a retail position with apple, my only concern is that I’m going to college soon, are they flexible with their employees when it comes to that ? Thanks 🙏🏽
Hi bro I like your story is super cool. I am Christian too and I want to work at apple since I just got my work permit. Do you recommend me to look for another similar company as apple or you think apple is really good to work for?
You’re making me rethink my interest in working in a worldly job called Apple Store Specialist, I already pursue the truth full time right now, spending most of my days reading Almighty God’s words, but when Apple’s Global Recruitment Team showed interest, I got excited too. I wanna work for a company that Almighty God uses in His church’s materials. I will go along with the process and do my best to apply for it, but I’ll let God arrange my environment whether I’ll keep reading Almighty God’s words until end of the world, or work for Apple in the Last Days.
@@AckieleeAi - Sorry to hear that man. But don’t give up hope. This is literally my 3rd time going thru interviews with apple since 2018. Just stay persistent. Now you know what the interviews are like and you have contacts at Apple unlike others that will apply in the future. I literally emailed the hiring manager bi-monthly asking about openings until I finally got a call saying they were giving my resume to the hiring team. Got an interview a week later. Don’t give up on your dream bro!
@@SuperHNDRXX Wait I could do that I only have my recruiters email can I email my recruiter can I call up my recruiter as well to that recruited me the first time but the funny thing is my recruiter is located in Florida and I live in Georgia And I’m definitely not giving up on my dreams I have always wanted to work at Apple
@@AckieleeAi - you definitely can. Just let them know you want to thank them for the opportunity and that you intend on applying in the future when opportunities become available again. Which should be VERY soon since Black Friday/Christmas is right around the corner. Even if it’s a seasonal role, it gets your foot in the door.
The store hierarchy is a trick to make you think you're getting promotions lol. It's funny to me when I hear retail people say "I'm a lead" like it's impressive 😂
@@JeremysRants But they are promotions, people also get a raise when they’re moved to a different position. The raise depends on several factors but they’re very impressive for a retail job.
@@mariaceron9132 It depends on the state you live in, Apple pays whats considered livable wage. Texas apple stores start at about $16 the hour for an entry level position. But every store is different and might pay you a little more.
What’s the difference between the shirt colors? I was looking for Apple employee tshirts on EBay because I love Apple and not that many people have them. The one I got is a blue polo textured shirt with the Apple logo in the center front. But they had green, yellow, black etc.
@@Nptrojan79 I also have a red one with the smaller Apple logo over the heart. They both say Made in Vietnam and the t-shirt size in white printed lettering on the back collar where the tags would be. The cobalt blue one is a regular t-shirt but has that polo shirt texture to it and it has the larger Apple logo in the top/middle and it’s sewn on.
@@FrancescaSkip I actually interviewed for product zone specialist but they liked me so much they’re hiring me as a permanent genius admin! I still haven’t been told pay or anything as that would be in the formal offer letter but the store manager says I start on the 28th! If you made it this far I’m sure you got the job!
I’m jealous. I’m applying and I haven’t gotten anything back. I failed once in 2018 or 2019. I’m determined to work there. Both of you are encouraging me to actually push the application, I don’t want to just be a temporary or seasonal employee. I want to make this a career. I love iPhones
@@natechenry try to get a referral. That will get u ur first interview. Don't go into the interviews saying "oh i love iphones thats why i want to work there." You have to have a good personality. They pick off who you are not whether or not u like tech and know a lot ab it. I got the job because I was outgoing, talked to the staff before my interview, and I helped some people with their ipad before my interview started. You have to show them that you have the customer service side and the personality they are looking for.
Hi! Tell me something please. I’m from Portugal and I would like to work at apple. If I get hired they give me de “pass” (I don’t know how you call it there) to work there as a foreign worker? Thank you
I think you mean a Work permit, a work visa. No They won’t give you a visa but if they give you a job you could apply to get the work visa with the government
is there a specific age limit because I'm 21 now and i've been applying since I was 18 and have not heard back once 😪, can I send you my resume and maybe you can give me some feedback and pointers. I know it's alot to ask but I would really appreciate your help 🙏🏼
No age limits. You have to be 18. A recruiter will respond to you when they feel that your experience is a good match for the positions you applied for.
Ironically Cook and the other high executives that have friends of friends are the only ones making the money at Apple. Everyone else is used for the lowest salary and promotions possible.
As someone who works there I can tell you this. Apple is a company where 10% of the company does 95% of the work. There's a lot of people in the company who think that they're smart but are actually complete idiots. And each organization within the company has its own individual culture. Retail is notorious for being the most shadyest group of people in the entire company and from what I understand is about as fake as it gets on a daily basis. If you end up wanting to get a job at Apple just remember that it really depends on what organization you come into that is going to determine your opinion of the company.
Depends on the organization you are in. Think of Apple as multiple companies working together. I can tell you that when you work in corporate It really depends on the org. Sometimes you may work all night and sometimes you may have it 9 to 5 job. You may even work in different offices around the country. I have a video on my other channel about it that I can link here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fd-roxivtG8.html
Dev teams actually have it easy. There are a lot of systems at Apple that always have to be monitored so there's people on call This is basically true for most if not all tech companies though.
@@JeremysRants I always watch WWDC, where they show secret underground rooms where they develop their chips, etc., or their fitness facilities, it all looks so nice to work there 😍
This video is well meaning click bait. Josh doesn’t tell us why Apple hired him, how many Apple devices was he using at the time of accepting employment, did he do any Apple training courses beforehand, no mention of sales training before or when working for Apple and whether he shot this video on his iPhone or what? Church ministry is not really a job (in the worldly sense) it heavy relies on tithes and offerings vs a paid salary.
yes, I work there now one of my managers once said "your a human before an employee" we care about what your passionate about so religion is a 100% yes
Billy Weiss I love that! Maybe that would have eventually been the case for me, but I was told I could have Sundays off for a period of time before we revisited the conversation. I’m sure they would have continued to allow it :-)
