I was curious if it‘ll work with the MacMini since the M1 iMac presentation. Thank you for confirming that. Now Apple really needs to sell the new Touch-ID Keyboards seperately ... can't wait to buy a blue one for my Mac mini.
Hi, I use an Apple mac mini m1 and am thinking about purchasing such a keyboard. I had a question how long the keyboard can be without a wire, namely without power. Thank you, I will be glad to answer
And there it is, Apple has released the keyboard for sale! Silver only though. www.apple.com/shop/product/MK293LL/A/magic-keyboard-with-touch-id-for-mac-models-with-apple-silicon-us-english
@@clemenko Yeah it kinda does. I got myself mini and I actually already had BT mouse and keyboard. They work OK, but I have couple issues as I can't get machine up from sleep with any of them. USB dongled wireless keyboard obviously does it. Does that apple keyboard allow powering up mini? Bit on the verge of printing vesa mount behind display, but it would be nice to have possibly to power up without reaching to the back of the display.
@@jothain Are you using the apple keyboard and mouse? They work great! The other option I have seen is a wired mechanical keyboard and wireless mouse. That should work for you as well.
@@clemenko sorry, didn't write the most clear way. I have some 3rd party Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mice. Keyboard is supposedly made for some apple models as it has command and option keys plus separate mode for Apple pairing. Still it doesn't wake my new mini. If Apple one does wake up and especially if it can power up, then I think I'd get ones for myself. But it's no use if it functions same as the Logitech ones. I've been looking bit into possibly getting trackpad and Apple keyboard. Just quite pricey package for my liking. I guess I could swap out my wired keyboard and mice from my pc to mini though...
