Which color would you choose?

Midnight 15" is a superstar. Despite the issue of the fingerprint, the dark colours help me concentrate on work especially paired with the dark theme.

Space Grey for me. I like mine in a balanced light and dark shade. And for me it looks more solid in appearance.

People often forget about other issues with midnight colour (other than fingerprints) First of all, I have it and it's my personal choice so I am not bashing it in any way. BUT, when you are plugging in the usb c type connections on the left side, they can scratch and you will see a silver colour beneath the midnight. Other colours do not have this problem.

Silver for the win. Cool, classy, and no greasy fingerprints or paint to chip off. Plus, probably only one in ten will choose it.

I have the Midnight 15" Air. It's glorious. Fingerprints aren't a problem for me, because I clean my damned hands, you savages!

I think I would go with the midnight 15 inch mac, Im not really sure why since I might get annoyed with all the finger prints, I just think the midnight is really cool and it just stands out to me the most.

Thanks for the unboxing. My 1st choice is also silver. Having said that, I have one technical critique on your video. It's the brightness exposure level. It's too bright and it's hard to judge the true color of the laptops. The silver is almost white since it reflects so much but It should be light grey color. I'd crank it down by -1/2 to 1 stop exposure. Thanks again!

I think the silver hits different. I have the M1 MacBook Air in silver and it looks pretty from a distance. I also think the flatter lid with larger apple logo in silver makes it look more beautiful in the newer design

True, the fingerprint issue on the midnight can be annoying, but then the dirt sticking to lighter-colored wires can also be very annoying. I also like the absence of contrast vs the keyboard and the screen. I just got myself the midnight! I also bought myself a half-palm cover in midnight for protection and helps avoid the fingerprint issue as well. :)

Starlight looks really good imo..it's number 1 for me

Silver looks relatively natural. Of course, if the current MacBook Air or MacBook Pro is also silver, you might as well try others, which are also good choices. Thanks for the review guys.

I got the Silver. If I had to put them in order of the colors that follow, I’d go space gray, starlight, midnight. Silver by far the best, imo.

People love to hate on the notch, but coming from a 2015 MacBook Air, it makes total sense to me. The notch is a conscious and functional design choice with the new Macs. It allows the user to open the MacBook up, without getting smudges on the rest of the screen due to the super thin bezels. The feet on the new MacBook Airs are horrible though. It constantly slides forward when I want to open it one handed (As a Mac should be opened with that premium Apple hinge).

midnight looks nice in the 13inch, starlight is the preferred for the 15 inch. the silver is a timeless and classic.

I owned Midnight for a while but then switched to Silver and couldn’t be happier. To me Midnight doesn’t as look as premium after a while. Also I love the contrast of the keyboard with Silver.

Thanks for the video. I had Mac Air 13" for over 10 years and it was due! Initially I loved Midnight but I couldn't bear the thought of finger prints on Midnight!! ( the other thing I wouldn't like is the scratches would show! I travel a lot and it's inevitable. ) I had Silver laptops for the last 20 years so my choice was in between Space Gray and Starlight. I couldn't decide so I went to the store to see and feel. I got myself the Starlight 15". It is more of very light rose gold and depending on the light angle it shows like Silver or very light Rose gold. I like it!!!

Definitely think I’ll be picking a midnight 15” for when I start college this year, quite like the space grey but midnight is definitely on top for me

I have only had Space Gray colors up until now where I ordered the Silver. A little brighter and cleaner looking to me and every now and then a change is good.

Midnights dark bluish black my fav, the thin profil is incredible

Still love my 13" M1 MacBook Air for everyday use, but I am excited that a 15" option is now available for when I decide to upgrade in the future. These Apple Silicon chips are absolutely amazing!

Great unboxing and review. I like the Midnight. I guess I should upgrade from my silver MBP from 2009. I bought it to do my dad’s memorial video/ slideshow since my 2003 Mac something couldn’t, and it’s held up, with one pro upgrade. I’m Apple through and through.

Was leaning towards space grey at the beginning till you said that the midnight has a bluish tint to it. Now I definitely would take the midnight one.

Just, place midnight in the case, and fingerprint issues will be fixed. I will definitely go with 15' midnight. it's just beautiful, especially with a dark theme lover programmer.

I would say 15 inch with the midnight just to complete the look with the midnight iPhone plus I’m not too fussed about the finger prints

I have had the 13 inch Midnight since the day it came out. Honestly, I don’t even notice the fingerprints anymore. But Starlight would be my second choice. I miss the gold MacBook Air.

watching Unbox Therapy review on the 15" MacBook Air helped me decide on which 15" MacBook Air I should get. I purchased Midnight and I love it fingerprints are not an issue.

Just picked up the midnight. The 15 inch air at this price is going to sell like crazy. Got it for my wife bc she wanted a bigger screen. Moving on from the 11” iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard

Starlight is very classy, midnight would be my top pick but fingerprints on devices drive me crazy since they never look clean lol

I'm waiting for the more efficient and powerful 3nm M3 chip before I try my first Mac personally. Might even go for a 13 inch Pro if they refresh it one last time, cause I've always wanted to try the dead touchbar and as a life long PC user the notch without face ID is borderline a deal-breaker.

True, the basic models are so powerful now that the higher powered models are honestly not needed unless you are editing full 8k 120fps video.

I got the MacBook Air M2 15” in Midnight and I love it I think it looks amazing! the fingerprints are not an issue for me. I thought the majority in the comments would dislike the midnight but they don't! It really stands out.

I have the 1st gen M1 MacBook Air in gold (although it looks more of a rose gold) and iPhone 12 Pro Max in gold. Something about the golden tint elevates the aesthetic from studious to elegant for me, so Starlight all the way! But as much as the 15" screen is calling to me, I didn't jump from a 2013 MacBook Pro to the 2020 M1 Air just to upgrade to the next chip. I'd like to sit on this one for a few more years :)

I would get the 15” and I’m leaning Silver, but maybe Space Gray too.

The 13 inch in midnight for sure. It's light, portable, the sound quality is actually really good. I do get the appeal of the bigger screen but I still vote for the 13 inch.

Space grey. I can’t enjoy the midnight because it’s a finger print magnet. Without that problem, midnight is my favorite.

14" silver pro would be my choice great combination of power and portability.

My other MacBooks have been space gray and I too ordered silver for a change. Just like you did.

I forgot my 16” M1 MBP’s 140W power supply behind once and in a pinch used one of my Anker Nano 20W travel chargers. With the MBP powered off, I was able to get it from 18% to 100% overnight (about 6.5hr) so maybe even less time than that. Good to know if needed that will still work. I’m sure 35W for the Air is not a major issue.

Classic Silver is still the best for macbook

Midnight, space gray, silver, then starlight. Fingerprints are no fun, but the midnight color looks so great when clean.

Moving from my M1 MBP I would take the space grey 15inch MBA. Already find the OG M1 MBP to be super portable but the air with the larger screen and light weight is a real big nice to have.

Man i wish the midnight color wasn't so fingerprint heavy, I would scoop that up in an instant!

I agree that they are practical the same. From a price point of view though, do I get the base 15 inch model for the bigger screen or do I get a 16GB 13 inch model for the same price now that it's been discounted a little?

13” vs 15”: I think that “hunch factor” point is really important. If your back starts hurting from naturally tending to lean in to see the screen; it’s really taking away from the point of having a lighter laptop. also I have never met a single person who is constantly flying, further more have never met anyone who actually gets meaningful work done on an airplane. I feel like the airplane argument for the 13”-15” air is ultra exaggerated and extremely niche but constantly brought up. If you’re constantly flying, chances are you can afford a fully loaded 14” pro. For me Id go with the 15” air because it’s cheaper than the MacBookpros, while still being very powerful and very sexy. It checks off all the boxes for most people.

Silver is so classic and classy! Does the Space Grey show a lot of fingerprints??? I went with the 15" MBA for my spouse.

Starlight is such a gorgeous neutral, like a soft sand or champagne. much warmer and softer than the cold grays.. My office, bags and clothes are all classic neutrals, so it goes with everything ;)

Battery King, Easily work 2 days or 16 hours on single charge, I charged the laptop to 100% at 10.00PM, then closed the lid without turning it off, then on next day morning at 11.00AM I started working on website development with 50% brightness [ no music etc. running in background ], then stopped for 2 hours from 4.00PM to 6.00PM again closed the lid didn't turn off, then again worked from 6.00PM to 9.00PM, and closed the lid with 55% battery left, then on next day again started work again at 11.00AM with same schedule and at 7.00PM battery was at 10% plugged the charger by the time I am done working battery was again at 100%

I like the midnight but when I get to see silver in real life it’s 100% a win so fricking beautiful

I’m glad I watched your video. I’ve been using an iPad to do my photography edits. Been looking at getting a laptop to help me up my editing skills to desktop version ADOBE software. Hopefully I’ll be able to switch very soon. Thank you for reviewing all options on one video ❤️

I just got the 13.6 M2 MacBook Air with 16 gigs of ram memory, and 512 SSD storage in color Silver. I think the Silver is very elegant, as an Artist I really like that one. This is my first laptop, and I love it. I'm used to Dell desktops, last Dell I had, had Windows 7 pro with 2T hard drive. I used to have a website and built my own web pages. The 13 inch is so light weight, and in the laptop briefcase cross body doesn't put a strain on my shoulders. Taking the Mac class next week. The 15 inch sound is louder but, I don't think it is that much better than 13 inch Air. The best sound quality is on the pro models.

I love my silver Macbook air M2, feel like the color is sooooo clean and matches my new mac mini M2 :D Due to now having a big screen desktop with my mac mini I went with a 13" macbook air top spec (512ssd, 8/10cpu/gpu) and added 16gigs of ram. Its sooo good.

I have a MacBook AIR M2 - Starlight and I am absolutely in love with the color. It gives a really rich feeling. I was supposed to go for midnight but I changed my decision at the end which won't ever regret!!

Completely agree. In reality I’d say a higher proportion of people buy a MacBook Air simply because it is an apple product. I can see why some would disagree and see it as overpriced when cheaper, better performing products may be available. I can also see the argument that they are pointless when the pro offers far more in terms of value for money in regards to performance. For the money yes, there may well be cheaper and better performing alternatives. However as a business Apple have marketed their products to make them desirable to the masses. They put this product right in the sweet spot of their target market and have angled their marketing to make that target perceive their brand as desirable and high quality. Regardless of individual opinions of Apple, they are far and away the best at this. Above all other reason, that is why they are so successful. Love it or hate it, they are excellent at what they do.

I usually stick with space gray as my number one choice for color for any apple product I get. Before they introduced s-ace gray I stuck with silver. I like space gray much better than silver now. I would be interested to see what certain other colors would look like but I will probably always stick with space gray. I don’t upgrade often because I never need to upgrade often. My current MacBook Pro I bought mainly because I gave my previous MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar to my parents since they desperately needed a new MacBook. Their old MacBook Pro from early 2015 that still had the disc drive built in was getting slow, old, and wouldn’t update any further so it was about time they got a new MacBook. I was able to get a MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip for myself which I currently use. I really love my MacBook Pro! I don’t mind the notch at all. I also love the M2 Max chip. It’s so powerful and with it I was able to edit my church’s youth camp videos faster than ever! It was exactly the spec boost I needed! Plus I love the fact that Apple gave us some of the ports back@ the HDMI port and the SD card slot have come in handy!
