What an enjoyable video! I very rarely comment on RU-vid but I really think you summed up the new 2016 Macbook Pro user experience much better than the other video's I've watched here. Keep up the good work!
I really felt that you reviewed the laptop in a certain way that mimics the way that most people would use their laptops and the most common situations they would use it for. I'm glad I saw this review. You have a unique take on tech reviews. Thanks. Keep up the great work. I still am gonna buy this notebook as I have been wanting to buy a MacBook for the past 4 years. I know that the use of the touch bar is currently rudimentary, but soon third party developers are going to come out with updates for the same. And history has shown that Apple doesn't update its pro lineup very frequently, so I think this is good to go for at least 3-4 years, so I guess this is it for me. I love the new space grey colour. I know it's overpriced, but then which Apple product isn't! I guess Apple makes you so accustomed to the UI and integrates all your information seamlessly that you don't wish to go elsewhere and you pay the premium for the smooth and consistent experience. Thanks again. Take care. :)
" I don't love you ... not yet" the line that says it all ! Hope Apple is listening. I would forgive them if they could add few dongles in the box ... and reduce the price.
why so many adaptors in the bag? why not just get 1 hub, like the satechi for example, 49 bucks, and has everything (including sdcard reader), oh, right, apple haters, I get it. Fun! let's all shit on apple!
William Z because it shows the unlikely scenario where one would carry anything more than 1 adaptor, just to prove a point, just to bitch around. They have hubs, where all you need is 1 cable, to do everything she needs, HDMI, usbs, sdcards, charging at the same time.
of course she is over exaggerating about the amount of adapters but it still doesnt dismiss the probability of a person just buying adapters in store as a way of convenience instead of researching online for third party ones
William Z right, I agree, which is why this video sucks, she could have simply said, buy X hub, and you're done, but no, she's perpetuating this ridiculous scenario of 3 or 4 or more dongles. Why be educational and helping people when you can just hate and not help anyone huh?
I know, right? I'm not a fanboy or something but I hate how other reviewers portrait that you need thousands of dongles just to use the new MacBook like in 1:18, in reality most people only need two like in 1:05
WHY PC USERS SAY THAT THE MACBOOK PRO SUCKS AND OTHER MACBOOK PRO FANS ARE DEFENDING APPLE AND ALSO PC USERS SAYING APPLE SUCKS. JUST TO CLARIFY SOMETHING YEAH I AM AN APPLE FAN BUT I AM NOT OBSESSED WITH IT. JUST THINK FIRST THAT YEAH, APPLE PRODUCTS ARE EXPENSIVE BUT CONSIDERING THAT APPLE IS MAKING PRODUCTS THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM MICROSOFT OR OTHER COMPANIES. AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT APPLE ARE WASTE, NO. BECAUSE APPLE IS DIFFERENT AND FAR FROM OTHERS. PLUS APPLE COMPUTERS OR MACS AREN'T FOR GAMING. IPHONES AREN'T LIKE ANDROID. IPADS AREN'T SURFACE TABLETS. SO DON'T EXPECT SIMILAR THINGS ON APPLE THINGIES. PEOPLE ARE ALSO SAYING THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BUY THE NEW MACBOOK BECAUSE OF THE PORTS. JUST THINK THAT YOU CAN BUY A HUB. NOT A DONGLE. PLUS THAT PRICE YOU ARE PAYING IS MANY BUT YOU CAN EXPERIENCE WHAT UOU GET SOMETIMES.
I fall in love with my 2015 MacBook Pro every day. I can easily do things what need lot of work for the computer but it never complains. Doesn't even get hot or else
Creative storytelling! Very much unique and different from any other MBP reviews! I just bought the MBP 2015 just in time when 2016 was released. And yes, I am so much ecstatic with the ports.
2:38 Wow, I never realized the cost of the deep ecosystem. I just have iPhone, iPad, Apple Pencil, and Apple TV. I thought I was deep in the ecosystem. My gaming laptop was $800. iPad was $120. Apple Pencil was $50. Apple TV was free. Apple Remote was $19.
very interesting review. I really enjoyed it. I get the point about dongles but the exaggeration is excessive. (you can replace a lot of your cables with USB c versions which are cheaper than all those dongles)

Description of Apple MacBook Pro Review: Living With Tradeoffs: "What's the best 33-centimeter Apple laptop? WSJ's Joanna Stern compares the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, the old MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air during a jam-packed day. Photo/video: Drew Evans/The Wall Street Journal."
You want a mac, alright how much it costs - x5 an affordable laptop - no thank you. So why you want mac then? Most say because it can't run games and does not have graphics card, but now it can run like blizzard games in a screen near the keyboard. You have an assignment and tomorrow is a last day or they kick you out of school - this was the scenario, but that never happened so now you are stuck with all the first of September school opening ceremonies - what is in it for you? Nothing? No job? No payment? No career, just because you are recorded?
I don't mean to be the person that notices everything but I am going to be that person at the end you typed in okay MacBook Air instead of okay MacBook Pro
Interesting review, a day with the computer. I got the 15” Macbook Pro in June and I love it. I really like the keyboard, the screen is amazing and it has plenary of speed for me. I don’t care about dongles because I came from a Surface Pro 4, which required dongles if you wanted anything other than a USB 3. I don’t miss the touch screen because I almost never used it but I do find myself using the touch bar fairly often ... AND I don’t get fingerprints on the screen doing so.
for £2000 i expect a gtx 1060 32gb ram 2tb ssd i7 7700hq 99 whr battery mini mag connector (the size of ightning) and the headphone jack ofc but no uget macOS and a silver apple logo
The only ports I really need is a hdmi port because of my schools beamer. Oh, and a SD Card Reader. Although I bought myself the nikon d3400 which means I just can send photographes from my camera to my phone and my macbook air at the same time.
I like your style and way of reviewing. A different approach, and you can make the review more practical by incorporating elements that such products are used for. Keep it up. (Note: I like the two pics at the end with the DSLR hanging off your head:)
The old MacBook Pro technically costs the same because it has 128GB of storage instead of 256GB. Once you bump that to 256GB it’s the same price sooooooo.
Welp I just wasted 2000$ for the MacBook bc it has AN 200$ TAX LIKE WHYYYYY so anyways it takes a so FUCKING long to ship and this video made me realize that I can spend 1500$ on a MacBook that is basically the same without the touchpad
