A lot of people do not understand that his facility will allow Apple to make better products & make more jobs in the United States. (Without mentioning the innovations in technology this place will contribute to)

Also to the ones complaining about the environment the roof of this campus is made entirely out of solar panels, the the glass all around the building will let in a ton of natural light, and the gardens will have 9,000+ trees total.

If Google Maps' measurements were correct, the circle measures about 1.31km; therefore if you run at the average speed of 6 km/h, it'll take you 10 to 15 minutes, and if you walk, it'll take you around 35 minutes

I love how angry people get when they comment on this place, honestly they have way more money than Disney ever did so let them build a crazy complex, no one is whining about the eco footprint of Epcot Center. It would look cool with a bunch of orange trees and gardens when it's done. Besides it's in so cal so no quality nature was harmed in the process... lol

Beltontx101 Some info on the estimated power you could expect to see. Looks like they will use it as the primary source, then using natural gas as a fallback. I doubt they would be disconnected from the grid though. 855casolar.com/around-5mw-apple-headquarters-solar-roof-make-among-biggest-us/

Beltontx101: from the article I linked, "I think what we’re going to end up doing is making the energy center our primary source of power, because we can generate power with natural gas and other ways that can be cleaner and cheaper, and use the grid as our backup" -Steve Jobs Unless they changed something, this was the plan.
