For those wondering - yes this case is heavy. It’s an entire extra battery. In fact, it adds about 30% extra weight to the phone. When your phone is in your pocket..don’t go far without a belt. You’ll lose your pants.

John Obrien - Care to tell me which part I exaggerated? I own the iPhone 11 Pro, and I own this case. The phone is no-joke significantly heavier than without the case.

John Obrien - When did I say it was unsuspecting? I’ve owned battery cases for many of my recent phones, and every one of them add significant weight to the device. I never said this was a bad thing..I just said wear a belt.

Not sure about why it’s difficult to understand the position of the charge indicator light inside the case. The charge light indicator is correctly designed i.e. if you want to charge the case without the phone, you’ll know the status. When the case is charged with the phone, the phone display will show the status(& also preventing the charging light illuminating surroundings at night).

Power off the case? You must not know the purpose of apple’s SMART battery case. You put the case on and it does it’s thing. No micro managing needed.

I loved this case for my xs max, but I think it degraded my battery a little because my battery health went down like 3% while using it for 2 weeks. Since it’s constantly charging I guess that’s why. Wondering if i should get it for my pro max, it already has great battery life but who doesn’t want even better battery life lol.

You mentioned that the battery is always charging the iPhone. Does that damage the phone battery?

Very late answer, but still hope it helps. The short answer is probably not. iPhones regulate their own charging cycles and will stop charging when the battery is at capacity.

No it won’t damage the battery because it’s integrated into the software so it avoids those overcharging problems that 3rd party battery cases do

From my experience of one year with the smart battery case for my iPhone xs max always it using the smart battery then the internal battery and I checked the battery cycles using iamazing it never changed so it helps the internal battery health.

Alex vel No... You should check first... It's 0,4mm thicker, 0,4mm taller and 0,5mm wider. Also the camera hole is completely different.

iM4CH3T3 Dimachete it uses the cases battery than uses the iPhone battery after case has died difference between apples product and 3rd party ones. This one shouldn’t ruin battery health but 3rd parties ones shall degrade the battery at a faster level by giving the device a constant charge

Worst thing for your battery, I returned mine that I had for XR at the beginning of the year, it drains your battery capacity, I asked Apple rep in store and they said “yeah a lot of customers have been returning them for that reason..” then why sell it!?

Az Vlog a 2% battery health lost over a year is completely normal if you look at a galaxy they probably drop down to 85 percent after a year it’s all on full charge cycle but a 2% lost is very normal

Because you drain the case from 100%-0% and used the internal of the phone. Battery degradation is depend on the cycle. If you charge your case before it reaches 0% it would preserve your battery life well.

Let me ask something, cause I don’t know if I’m wrong. I’ve had the apple iPhone X smart battery case for almost 11 months. When I got it the health of my IPhone battery was 95%. I never let this battery case to be under 10 per cent. The result is that eleven months later I still have my IPhone X with 95 % of battery life. Does it make sense???

Ranjit KR your saying the battery is bad on the new iPhones? Have you actually used one at all? And iOS is not buggy it’s much more smooth than android one ui much more. I’ve used Note 10+ and now my 11 pro Max and my iPhone is much more smooth and battery life also doubles my note 10+
