It's time to congratulate DL on his country's football team's victory over a difficult opponent, even though it's just a sports game. A relatively small number of people are involved in professional sports, but it actively encourages people to engage in various sports and movements without which civilization can never do for its development; therefore, constant attention is paid to this in schools in physical education classes and educational institutions. In elite sports, optimal training methods and standards appear. It is also a cultural pastime. On the other hand, any movement always attracts a person’s attention in a special way. In football, spectators are unknowingly subjected to a two-hour conditioning experience of contemplating a large green field marked out in a color-balanced white that blends perfectly with all the other colors. At the England-Switzerland game, the stand behind one of the goals was also completely beautifully red. If the competition is held on the track and a person is on it, then he can always follow the official broadcast in the best possible way using a lightweight, super-mobile tablet in any position.
Great observation. I think more than running every feature by them, even the concept of building a “competitive advantage” is viewed as a violation of the DMA. Apple is not a public utility. Making a profit and keeping proprietary technology is not a crime. The EU might unleash the Capitalism militia. Capitalism (love it or hate it) is almost a religion to some people in America. If the EU forces American companies that innovate technology, take risks, make sacrifices, and make good decisions to “share” the benefits with all their competition, there will be trouble.
The smartphone has become an incredibly important part of being a human. a phone is almost like a body part in how often its needed day to day. I think a company that creates and distributes such a vital product to the population should have the government give it a once over first. Water and food companies have to and i see a smartphone as closer to that than say a washing machine in terms of how essentail to modern life it is. I think we should definitely be asking ourselves what is in apple intelligence that apple sees the EU having a problem with. Could be nothing but it could be something, the fact we dont get to find out is worrying.
great points, well made. I love the community we are growing here as I know we can have a proper, reasoned discussion. I make these shorts to establish a chat and ou guys are great at recognising that and joining in. Great to hear from you.
Does this affect Great Britain? I think it's complete government over reach. If consumers don't like Apple they can use Android. Apple should be able to run their company as they see fit.
Unless you have a 15 Pro you won’t be able to experience Apple Intelligence. I think there will be issues here though, especially with GDPR and the ICO are concerned. Where is the server-side processing taking place? I think the issue here is mobile phones are no longer mobile phones. They are pocket computers and that’s why the EU stepped in.
hi Andy - yeah I've thought for a long time now how dangerously central to our lives the phone is. It's the device I touch and use the least of all, yet it is the one thing that is central to my entire ecosystem and digital life. Scary huh!
@@DavidLewisTech hi David, it is. I’m a few months away from the end of a 2 year contract for my 14 Pro, and I intend on keeping it for a few more years. My beef with Apple Intelligence and other AI is it’s making us dummer. The other day a friend asked for help to access a HDD on her MBA. Quick look through Apple forums and voila, the Terminal command I needed. After verifying the command, the drive was mounted and got the data for her. Plus I learned something. My other question is where are the servers based to process my requests? What information is retained? We’ve already seen that MS’s Co-Pilot is in a grey area.
I share your concerns and I’m not a big AI user. Apple said on their servers the messages are encrypted end-to-end and snot stored. As to where they are, I don’t think they given us that info just yet…
