I agree that this watch is expensive. However, I broke every other Apple Watch I ever had due to my profession being a bit rough. With that said. I did not spend the extra funds on the Ultra for adventure sports but instead for its toughness. I have the added protection plan just in case of any damage but so far the Ultra has withstood each bang and bump it has received without a single mark. So if anyone just really needs a durable watch for reasons other than sports, diving or mountain climbing, this may be the watch for you. Worth EVERY dollar…!

Good content, keep including information as you wear and put it to use. Recommendations, i know you're new to this, don't talk about how much you don't have. As you put up more videos you will get reworded for your work and get better at what you do. Very good explanation on the product and I was invested enough to finish the video. Keep up the good work, don't let anyone talk you out of your dreams.

Trail loop is good but , I do recommend get the biggest size you can . I’m good with the medium but got a large any way better for adjusting the g hook .

I just bought an AW Ultra. Upgraded from a Gen4, so it was a really nice step up. The price here in Denmark is $1130, and if You want to buy additional bands they´re $130 each. My favourite points is the design and the ruggednes. It looks more like a real watch than my previous Gen4. And the screen is sooo much better.

The ultra to me! Is just perfect as it is , if you want colors get a regular one ,$850 is small potatoes for the tech involved to have on the wrist for those of us that actually use it for what it’s mostly intended. I wanted a large screen more aggressive body and not so shinny and boom they delivered the orange button is not a deal breaker at all but could have just been all titanium same color but it’s cool lil flavor.

I love the watch, I got it with the black, gray and orange Trail Loop but am using the nice sports band with it as I am so used to it than any other band just feels weird.

I’m 58 and have bought the ultra. I needed different things other than diving or rock climbing, but I am very happy with it and the things like fall detection etc are great. I had a series 4 so a huge upgrade for me and I don’t regret it at all.

Have a titanium wrist band that I inherited when I bought an Apple Watch Series 6. Thank you for your topic on how many Watch band sizes fit on the Ultra. Did not want to scrap that titanium band. Thank you no one else did such a comparison

Yeah you probably should try the alpine band on first. It actually fit me perfectly but I have heard others complain about not being able to find that sweet spot

So far, the Alpine Loop is my only Ultra strap. I love it! The only time it has annoyed me is if I put it on too tight before bed. Getting the hook in a loop in the dark has proved impossible for me. I have used it in water and it dries very quickly!

I'm in the process of deciding on whether or not I'll get the Ultra (extreme price). I'm leaning towards getting it, but, may wait until the second generation arrives in the Fall. Enjoyed your video a lot. Thank you. Subscribed to your channel.

I prefer the flat face, it feels larger and looks better. I think the curve makes the damn watches hit everything. I would constantly scratch my Apple Watches on the edge when I accidentally would clip a door jam or door knob.

Garrett...you bet that you're going to KEEP that watch for a LONG WHILE.... the Price makes that 1 reason and the other is... you HOPEFULLY have more than you'll ever need from an APPLE watch... I always wanted a TAG at 3250 then I see that Bugatti has a SMART watch as well... so its 1,100$ here in Canada then the BUG at 1750 and then, the TAG... so 1,100 is a Great deal..just have to see if I can get my cell carrier to give a great 2 for 1 as my cell phone which I have 20gb a month plan and barely use 1 so I hope they can do maybe 5$ more a month...and same 20gb share the data plan... BUT.... GREAT VIDEO...imma try to get the BLACK UTILITY SPORT LOOP...

I think you are missing the design intent of the alpine loop: in more extreme environments like rock climbing or surfing, a traditional Velcro band could be easily undone causing you to lose your $800 smartwatch. The Alpine Loop, while a little more clunky than the trail loop, is much more secure.

I purchased the ultra with the midnight ocean band 20% off.

If I am not a diver or long distance runner should I not consider this as an option?

With that price-tag, I think I'll hang on to my Apple Watch 6, for a couple more years. Hopefully, by then, Ultra will come down a bit.

Why aren't any of you "Reviewers" talking about the crash and fall sensors? Being disabled, I find these features to be a really big deal.

After taxes where I reside the price is $850

The ultra charges 33% faster then other Apple Watches it charges heaps quick 😂haha although I call bs when people say they get 2+ days from a single charge with heavy use & no top ups mine is just under a week old & as of today I took mine off charge at 5:40 to leave for work & its 1:30 am the next day & it’s on 45% so I could get through the night but would need to charge it when I wake up & my usage consists of listening to music or podcasts briefly & a handful of texts & a quick call so minimal use

Up until they removed the ring system and went with WearOS… Samsung really had a chance in this category.

At some points of the video you are speaking with a really negative tone about really minor issues you have with the watch, talking about the massively increased battery size as a bad thing because it makes you forget to charge is just ridiculous (the increase in battery size alone is probably the main reason most people who bought Ultra opted to go for it and not for the 8 model), and you are completely missing the point of the alpine loop band as it is designed for securing your watch to your wrist before comfort, the trail band is just perfect in terms of comfort and is obviously the option most people should go to which is probably why it sold out, but I don't think it's fair talking about how uncomfort the alpine loop is in everyday use as it is not what it's desgined for.
