Going to bake this. Thanks for the recipe. Made a good birthday present. Went to Apple Farm today & bought a bushel of apples. Got small apples for $14 for the bushel. Total weight 39.6 lbs, made them cost just $0.36 a pound. They always drop the price on the small apples which suits me just fine. It was so hot here this summer that our apple tree didn't give us any apples.
HAPPY 29TH BIRTHDAY K A R E N !!!!!!!!! Bev that applesauce cake looks wonderful . WOW I so can see that Karen looks so much like her mom . So glad to meet her and to see mom again in a video. I remember Howie fixed the basement up for his mom , which came out amazingly beautiful . Does she now live with you guys full time now ?? I never see her in the background or heard of an update that mom was finally moved in full time . She seems like such a sweet mother-in law !!! Enjoy your day !!!!!
I have done nothing but watch your videos all weekend!!! Love them and you I wish I could come to Canada, but Mississippi is home !!! Keep up the great work
Love your chanel. Thanks for sharing. Im glad that you have a simple approach so that we can follow your methods and recipes.I look forward to all your new videos.
SWEET BEV ♥♥♥ with a sister like you EVERYTHING is a piece of cake!! oh that looks so YUMMMMMMEEE .. I am thinking when we move to Maine.. we having some tea together!!! love to you!!!!!!
Happy birthday Karen! Great to see you, Nan!!! HERSHEY'S TOP SCOTCH?!?!?!? WHAT?!?!?!? Where has this been all my life?!??!?!?! And apparently it is only a Canadian thing....cannot find it in the US, even on Amazon :-(
That looks delicious! Is it true that Canada is celebrating Thanksgiving soon? I'm curious what your menu is. Here in the States it's usually turkey and all the trimmings. Really enjoying your baking videos, and you're looking well! (:
Smart buy on that stove. The electric coils work way better than any of those ceramic/glass topped stoves. Easier to keep clean and they don't crack if you drop something.
LOL,...."This cake is in honor of my sister-in-law Karen's birthday, she's 29 goin' on 29! XD You entertain us, you teach us, you love us, luvin' ya back Mrs. V(and Poppa too!) :)
I'm not an icing fan either. It is just too sweet for me. We have my hubby's older brother staying for a few days and yesterday since I have a whole bunch of carrots in stock, I made a carrot cake and one icing I do not mind cause I can get away with using a lot less icing sugar. Yeah took a brick of cream cheese, put it in my mixer with a teaspoon of vanilla, some butter and icing sugar and there ya go.
A beloved neighbor gave us a bunch of apples recently. Because of you, you wonderful woman, I will be making not only applesauce, canned apples but also apple sauce cupcakes. Perhaps a few with rum-macerated raisins with a powdered sugar dusting?
Hey Bev I celebrate the anniversary of my 21st birthday every year too and boy do I get a lot of confused faces when I tell people when they ask how old I am because I know they are trying to do the math in their heads when I say its the 27th anniversary of my 21st birthday ^.^
The only thing I can tell you is that it was not made in Hershey. They don't make any of the products here any more. But we still have the amusement park, I guess that would be too hard to send to china or india.
