Context: I’m doing the audio production for some new software instrument libraries of vintage electromechanical keyboards. I have many thousands of samples which need to be carefully edited and named. The steps are basically:
1. Organize my session so that pitches go from low to high and within each pitch velocities go from high to low.
2. Run Bryan’s script to select each soundbite and merge it, which renders the fades to audio that can be exported. Along with rendering audio, it also allows me to sort the soundbites window by time created which is critical.
3. Run my modified version of Bryan’s other script to name each of the soundbites correctly.
I have many, many thousands of audio files to organize, so this will literally save me whole days of my life. Many thanks Bryan!
