We love The Applewood Farmhouse Grill. We recently went to the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant for the first time and it was amazing too. We really enjoyed y’all’s video. It didn’t look too crowded when you guys filed. Great video and review guys!
We were pleasantly surprised to see such a light crowd. We always end up at places when they are busy. We were there on Easter Sunday around 6:30 pm. We just knew there would be a long wait!
Thanks for a great video! We had lunch there last week while on vacation. Really enjoyed the food, particularly the chicken and dumplings. I could live on those apple fritters, they were so good!
John and I both like this restaurant. It is cozy and good comfort food. Cindy, you are right. You could share the chicken cordon blue with someone. I love their applebutter. John said to tell Carly she did an excellent job on her review. 😎😎
Carly said thank you. She was grinning big time! We really enjoyed our meal and the service there. We also liked not having so many people in the restaurant.
We try to read the menu but sometimes there is background music and we can’t because of copyright. Anything you get here is going to be yummy. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the PF area. What y’all had tonight looked so good. They really know how to treat their customers! There aren’t many places that offer that much food at each sitting. Watching this video makes me long for a trip to Tennessee. Really enjoyed it!!
Yay!!! Thank you for another awesome video! I Love your video content & style! The food looks delicious- now I’m craving chicken n dumplings! I love the drone footage of the whole Applebarn area. So beautiful! Please keep the videos coming! I only follow a few RU-vidrs and y’all are one of them! 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed the video. I don’t know if you noticed during the opening but David did a shout out to you as requesting the review. We really enjoyed the meal and excellent service. We were actually in shock because there was not a wait at dinner time. That always makes it better. We appreciate you being part of our RU-vid family. Hoping to get the other places you requested at some point this year. Hope you are doing well.
David might laugh at this. But, at my advanced age I've yet to try fried okra! Maybe one of these days. Among the things I miss are my grandmother's turkey gravy, chicken and dumplings, and salmon cakes. My mother could do a pretty close knock-off of the turkey gravy and the salmon cakes. But, she didn't have the patience of my grandmother when it came to the chicken & dumplings! Needless to say, when I'm at a "country cooking" type of restaurant, I'm always on the lookout for such. Next time I go to PF, I'll be looking at spending a couple of days and will be on the lookout for such goodies! Applewood Farmhouse looks like it might be a good source. Remember meats by Swift? They had a frozen Chicken Cordon Bleu that was really good. But, they also had a Chicken Kiev that was even better, LOL! Going to have to give this place a try on my next PF trip. Excellent video. God Bless.
You definitely need to try some fried okra. You know that's David's go to after onion rings. Chicken and dumplings are a favorite of ours too. There was a restaurant in Lynchburg that made the best Chicken Cordon Bleu. I would get it every time I went. It closed a few years ago and is supposed to be reopening after an expansive remodel. I have not seen a menu to see if they will have it at the new restaurant. Looking forward to hearing about your Pigeon Forge trip.
Coming to TN and another 31 states this June and July. I’d love to run into this wonderful little family. If they pick the time, state, restaurant, I’d be honored to pick up the tab for a wonderful meal. 😊
That is awesome that you are going to visit 31 states this summer. Are you in the United Stated or visiting from another country? We definitely can figure out a date and place to meet. Just keep us posted on your plans so we can figure out something. We appreciate your kind words. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@vafunseekers Hi Vafunseekers! It is so nice to hear from you! I live on the Oregon coast and I’ve liked to travel from an early age. I retired as a public school teacher and administrator when Covid hit, although it made me cut my career short. I am American, but my ex-wife is from Bali, Indonesia, and my children live there with her as well in the vacation villa that I designed and built. I would love to get together with you find folks for a nice meal or two. I map out my trip road trip each year and pick certain golf courses in restaurants I want to visit. There was one in particular this year then I’m gonna spend two or three days enjoying, that one being the highly rated Shady Maple Smorgasbord in southern Pennsylvania. I would love for you all to join me there. I’ll also be spending more time in North Florida and Tennessee because I’m pretty much set on moving to one of those areas. I hope to hear from you soon. Until then, be safe and happy!
