I'm not a fan of those type of dryers, I like the Whirlpool/Kenmore/Maytag in the back. I usually make the dryer duct as short as possible. Usually I make it as long as my shoulders are wide. When I sell a set and I notice the pipe goes up, I suggest they get it cleaned. That's exactly what I tell them.... if you don't get it cleaned, I can't warranty the fuse or anything else in the dryer. Can you link that video for checking the heating element to see if it's grounded please? Knowing if a heating element is grounded or not might save a life even if people don't work on or sell appliances. The other day I was in a hurry and you might know that the dryer had a heating element that was grounded so by the time I went back in the garage about 45 minutes later it was full of smoke and the dryer was HOT!! So I went right over and unplugged it from the wall. My grandson's clothes were almost on fire!

What do you do if you can't clear the old codes from machine...holding down the thrid button for 5 seconds does nothing and I still get F1 E2 codes. It will enter diagnostic mode but I can't clear codes after replacing coils, thermister, and all that good stuff that comes with the kit. This is a cabrio WED7000WD1 unit. Original problem was a no start condition. I immediately checked the coil which was totally blown. ordered parts, replaced parts powered up the unit and still no start. shows 236 voltage at the terminals and the display shows 000, L1, 121, Htr, 121, Air, 001, L2 then repeats and I saw F1 E2 as well. Any ideas why It won't start? I examined the control board, no signs of anything wrong there...but I didn't check any circuits.

My dryer is running but will not heat the heating element does not have any breaks in it I don’t think it’s that how would I know It’s fuses blown

I've replaced that blasted little thermal fuse so many times. It keeps blowing. The exhaust tube behind the dryer is not especially long or kinked. Air flow through that and to outside seems to be ok. I don't know what the heck makes it keep blowing

I use the southwire multimeter. It come with a temp probe. Google southwire multimeter with temp sensor!

You can always look on the thermostat. It will tell you the on and cutoff temps.

Hey David, I would really appreciate some guidance. Thermal fuse is blowing, the element and thermostat test good, no sign of the element grounded out when I test for that. I replaced both the fuse and thermostat incase it was a thermostat problem causing the fuse to blow. Same problem new fuse blew after 1 run. I had the exhaust open to the laundry room as well to make sure it wasn’t a lint problem, so I know it’s not that. I read online that the element could be touching after it heats up and causing my issues. I’m not sure what is causing the fuse to blow continuously I’ve had 3 so far, with the exhaust open. Element and thermostat keep testing fine. Should I order a new element? Or maybe it’s control board related. Any advice will help thanks!

I’ve also taken the vents apart in the dryer and made sure there was no lint build up anywhere

I would take the element apart and observe it to make sure it's not sagging. Next go to the control board located on the top, and look at the relays. After all that has been replaced and checked. I would replace the board. You can also get the element cheaper on Amazon.
