hi thank you for this video it is very helpful ^^... I want ask... In case we downloaded a family from an online manufacturer and we need to change the material. But sadly when we select the main element inside of the revit family, yes it in the mechanical equipment category, but it has no parameter into which we can change its material. Actually the element is a bit irregular in shape. Is there any way we can add a material parameter to the mentioned element? thank you ^^
Hi, it's hard to judge without seeing the family. If the downloaded family is just wrapped dwg import, the material options that you have will be completely dependent on the original dwg model setup.

Hi, it should work for both imported and linked dwg geometry. Try checking your dwg layers if it doesn't work for you. I usually first import dwg geometry into family before placing it in project. You can only import CAD geometry to family, you can not link.
